The best solution I can recommend for your 2012 S4 would be a trunk mounted bike rack since there are no hitches available confirmed to fit your 2012 Audi S4
Order the hitch for the 2012 A4. Installed mine tonight and fits perfect. Took about 30 min to a point where hitch was on the car with bolts/nuts hand tighten. Definitely tape the top of the long bolts to black place that goes on the frame. Read this tip on etrailer site from another reviewer. Also add some weight to short bolts from trunk. It makes is so much easier to catch a thread by hand. Took another 30 minutes to get it to 100lb/ft tight. Could not get it past that( most likely because could not figure out how to drop the muffler hangers.

Thread Title = "Confirmed hitch mount on B8 S4!!"

Rear bumper could be slightly different on B8.5.

    Hi,

I am wondering about clearance on entrances to parking lots and driveways. When I had an Audi-unapproved hitch on my B8 A4 wagon, I had to angle my way into my driveway or I would hang up on the receiver. Assuming that the S4 is lower, and potentially more scrape-y?

    TIA!

I only had mine on one day so far and I did go slow and at an angle up the driveway , I had the same setup on my 2011 accord stock that sat much lower and scraped easily . The S4s back end is higher . I would still use caution anyways .

Have never had an issue. Front bumper is more scraped than my hitch for sure.

    I love forums...
I plan to keep this car a long while so I like to make it so that I can make it versatile.
Just ordered the hitch receiver...I'll order the roof racks for the kayak eventually too.
Thanks for sharing the info, y'all.
