H&R, Vogtland and Eibach manufacture springs, Bilstein, Koni and KW manufacture shocks. Not sure about B&G. When you buy a kit from any of them, you will see that they simply buy parts from each other to create the kits. So it is very possible that a KW and Vogtland kit would be a combination of Vogtland springs and KW shocks. Now, do not assume that the shocks and springs are the same part numbers. In all cases if KW buys a spring from Vogtland, KW specified the length, spring rate, and color. Reverse is also true, when Vogtland orders shocks from KW or Koni they specify what they want.
Long story short, assume little quality difference between Vogtland, KW, Koni, Eibach kits. But there will be model specific differences in shock valving and spring rates. Unfortunately that means that if on a B8 KW got it right, then on MK7 it could be Vogtland. Or in other words, if you loved Vogtland on B5, it does not mean that it will be that good on a B8.
I kept H&R separate as my limited exposure suggest that they are in bed with Bilstein.
