I thought about a short throw just because I want something lower profile and wouldn't mind less travel - plus they look cool. But I decided to hold off due to costs and the lack of need/ want. Instead I am getting a stage 2 tune first. I would love to know how these compare to the E-Code's shifter. John @ Roc Euro recommended the e-code to me after stating he no longer sells one. I suspect ECS will put out a good product per usual - but if the ecode is superior I would rather spend the extra $100 bucks... :p

Does the EuroCode shifter use the stock spring as well or does it come with one? I noted the ECS product does not come with a spring.

The eurocode shifter doesnt come with the spring or bushing either. I dont know why they dont, i purchased a new spring and bushing for mine.

I would be more likely to take on a promo price - but of course this is a limited market so I understand not giving out such a promo as it could be a loss. If they took a few select people who guaranteed an honest review (say 3-5 people) and promo'd it at less $100.00 MSRP I would be down plus it would give the rest of us more reviews faster making their product ultimately move more quickly - but again, it is a limited market so they may only sell a handful to begin with. I wonder if the shift fits a few other application as well?

If I'm honest though, I don't think my ecode was ever setup perfect and I think I would attempt this myself now rather than have the shop muck with it again....it would be a rather biased comparison, but I wouldn't take the plunge without a decent discount, having spent a load on the other shifter already. And hey, if you don't like the ECS product I will be happy to buy it from you at that discounted rate just to have a short throw shifter for a reduced rate and not wonder if I made the wrong decision because the price justified the potential mistake anyway xD

Height can be adjusted with the shifter installed. You'll need to remove the boot to allow easier access to the adjustment nut.

I tried to install it.... Had all the interior work completed any went to disconnect the shifter linkage only to realize I didn't have enough clearance underneath using ramps. Will attempt this weekend on jack stands.
