Where is alarm siren module located in 2008 B7 A4?

    All,

I am trying to find/replace the siren module (8L0951605A) in my B6 A4 with one a wrecker has from a 08' B7 A4. They are having a difficult time finding it. From my research it should be on the d/s in the trunk behind the lining, but they pulled it all back and can't find it. This is a pic i used for reference (item1)

On my B6 its easily found on the p/s in the trunk, but where is it in the B7? If anyone has an actual pic it would be awesome. Thanks!

I was hoping to get insight, but it appears no one has removed this siren yet from a B7. I would really appreciate any help...

Its on the passenger side. You have to take the trunk liners off and its below the stereo amp.

This question should be in the dumb questions thread, but it's on topic. Do the horns work with the alarm, or is it just the beep? I am sure it is suppose to just beep when arming but when the alarm goes off is it just a continuous beeping like when you arm it?
What ever makes sense go with the opposite and you got it

Just the alarm siren, no horn. Kinda weak unlike the BMW which is pretty loud.

That's what I thought. I was hoping something was wrong and there was more to the alert system. Yes, it is very weak and actually kinda quiet. Something else to change then.

It's definitely on the passenger side on my Avant. I messed around with it a while back when I was doing my Audio install. A lot of those parts diagrams are generic so they point to a rough area but definitely aren't 100% accurate.

Is the sedan in the same place as the avant though?

I don't see why not. I haven't torn into my sedans trunk so o can't say for certain, but the siren is bolted to the car frame so I don't know why they would move it.

When the alarm is triggered is it a constant 12v or is it a pulsing 12v?

Sorry to necro this thread, but I have looked everywhere and cannot find my alarm module? Does anyone have any experience or photos of where it is in the Australian A4 B7? Thanks

Should be at the righthand side, behind the trunk lining, close to the amplifier, and the fuel filler flap. The module is fixed with a bracket, which is bent downwards slightly. Small black plastic box.

The South African B7's shouldn't differ that much from the Aus type, as far as I know, they're all made in Ingolstadt, Germany, and exported. Or atleast mine was.
