    Replacing seat cover?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hi, I haven't picked up my car yet but would like to know if it's possible to replace the leather on our seats, just the 2 fronts at least. The car has silver interior and the seats will most likely have some amount of stain on them. First, I'm gonna get the car fully detailed and see how clean they get but just in case I'm not satisfied with cleaning I would like to know if it's possible to replace it with oem leather. What are my options?
I hope thorough cleaning will be enough to clean them up nicely.

If the leather just has dye transfer and stains from normal use, you should definitely be able to clean it (or any detailer worth their salt can do it for you). You should only need to actually replace leather if its cracked beyond repair or torn.

that's good to know. as far as I know there are no cracks and I live within 30 min from Detailer's Domain and I'm sure they can do an outstanding job on the cleaning.

Phil at DD should definitely be able to help you out. I've seen some amazing leather restorations done by Phil, so definitely consult with him before springing for new seat covers. One thing to keep in mind is that if you just replace the seat bottoms you will likely notice a difference in the shade of the leather as different batches will likely result in slightly different colorations and the aging of the leather over 7+ years will also play a factor.
