As title states. Any one make a file for k26 or similar? Plan on swapping out the old k03. My ecu is unitronic stage 1 for the KO3. I have a Hi flow manifold for the k26 already. along with the 3" DP, FMIC etc. Any help would be much appreciated. Just trying ro figure out how to get this thing tuned.

So you have an exhaust manifold that will bolt up to your k26? I would say you will need something custom for your tune. Closest would be a gt28rs tune.

Yeah i have a ATP manifold that bolts up to it. And that was what i was thinking as well.
Another question i had was is the KO3 oil cooled? I beleive my k26 is water cooled. Im assuming its not hard to throw in come water lines?

K03 is oil lubricated and coolant cooled.

What year is your car? There are different tuning options available depending on ECU / sensors.

Okay good to know. Its a 96 Quattro. Originally a 2.6 v6 swapped in AEB unitronic stage one ecu done by 034.
What injectors are on a gt28rs tune?

Injectors will depend on which tune you pick.

For AEB I would suggest the United Motorsports Stage 3 tune. It runs well with just about any turbo from K03/K04 up to GT28R or larger. This particular tune uses 630cc injectors at about 3-3.5bar fuel pressure, and a 3" MAF housing with stock MAF sensor (like the MK3 VR6 MAF housing).
A member here is selling his UM Stage 3 tune right now, actually. The tune when new goes for $600 by itself, and the MAF housing would normally go for at least $50 new. So his asking price looks like a good deal to me!

2Bennett sells an EM/DP for K26s on 1.8Ts. They can probably help you find a tune.

You're definitely going to need a clutch to hold the torque. There are lots of options, one of the more popular and reasonably-priced options is the ECS Tuning RA4 Stage 1, which is basically a stock B5 S4 clutch with custom steel flywheel. I think that would be strong enough for you.

A K26 is going to be mega lag on that turbo. Its not really a good turbo for the 1.8t. Heck even the 2.2 are laggy with it.

Seriously the K26 is old tech and not fit for any engine bellow 2.5 liters. If you own one, just ebay it and put your funds towards a franken turbo.

Water and oil cooled, using oil to lubricate the bearings. Oil being run through the turbo has no way to avoid cooling it down.

I was thinking the same. But also the thought of the comparison to a gt28 came to mind. How much different are the two? Gt28 is bigger?

    roger that,
for reference, the tune will work for anything from a k04 to a 2871 and is good for just under 300 horsepower with the right turbo etc

Once the oil is past 200 deg. F or whatever, I bet the coolant will start to do a pretty darn good job at cooling the CHRA :p

Eh, has anyone rode/driven in a k26? 5cyl k26 is a fun car and if they are so shitty, then they wouldn't have a k26 kit for the s4
