    Hey guys,

Just got my B&O and it sounds amazing.

Question, any audiophiles out there have the ideal settings for the B&O? I like a little thud but nothing crazy. I just want my music to sound amazing. Streaming mostly through my iPhone.

ive never had more trouble dialing in a sound system as I did with this lol, but im an audiophile and it took a lot of tinkering to get it to my liking. I can take photos of my settings, as they are different between radio and aux/bluetooth :)

Treble is about 3/4's all the way.

    Bass, slightly less than treble.

Surround, all the fuckin way up. That was a game changer. Mind = blown.

I've never had an audio system to where I could just set the bass and treble and forget it. The bass would be too low for some songs, too much treble, etc... You sure you guys aren't talking about T.Vs? :)

I am by no means an audiophile...yet I see some posts where self proclaimed audiophiles say to adjust the settings DOWN from 0. Yet everyone here says UP. I always thought UP, but I have no idea..

pics as promised. Top is satellite/FM, bottom is ipod/bluetooth. I notice if I turn the treble up it almost hurts my ears because it's too intense, but I noticed it more on my ipod/bluetooth so that's why it's slightly down. Even just from this post I was back to tweaking it a bit more. Surround is all the way up, love that it produces a true echo type sound (I listen to a lot of EDM) so when it drops to vocals it's awesome. But, this system is so good IMO that to truly enjoy music you should adjust it based on the genre you're listening to. This applies more so when the volume is louder. Just my opinion, it's a pain in the ass to constantly adjust so I went with what I enjoyed the most.

Me neither. On my car, I believe that's "Dynamic Sound" or something like that.

SDV is that setting where the sound will adjust to outside noise ie. if there is an 18 wheeler next to you and is loud your sound system will adjust to it (probably turn up atomatically) so you listening experience does not degrade....

Just did these settings this morning. Holy crap!!! I had B&O in the '13 S4 I traded in and my wife has it in her SQ5. They both sound like clown shoes compared to the B&O in the S3.

i really think the B&O is my favorite part of my A3. just over 12k miles on it and this sound system has been pure bliss to my ears for each one of them. It makes Sirius sound great (usually sounds horrible), and bluetooth audio streaming sounds amazing as well.

I tend to set my bass and subwoofer setting 3-4 clicks to the right and the treble 1-2 further. However the system is designed to sound "best" when everything is set to the 12 o'clock position. The engineers tuned it best for their, but i like a little more thumb while listening to some double bass drums

the B&O in this car is significantly better than in the a4/a5/q5. They did a great job with it, it sounds closer to the advanced system that's in the a6/a7/a8. As for SDV, I have no idea what it stands for. It could be what the others said, but when I adjust it it does make changes to the tone

    B&O Settings

I have surround off. It's a gimmick to me. It just makes things muddy by delaying signals.

If I push the treble, a lot, as I normally would, it gives me a headache.

I like having the subwoofer control. Gee THX for high and low, too. But damn, give us a mid button!!

    Overall, quite pleased.

OP stoppppp steaming and plug in and/or load up the SD card slots. SQ is AMAZING either way, & esp when compared to streaming!!!!

SDV stands for speed dependant volume, no mics in use for our cars just increases volume in correlation with MPH
