None of them are stuck?? Like a beverage spill? Also do you have a telephone prep module or bose installed on the vehicle. Last, have you 3 finger death punched the most system into reboot? If you look at your owner manual it will illustrate the procedure to reset the most system. Report back yo!!!!

I can click each button and none of them are stuck but i have just recently purchased the car and dont believe a beverage spill was evident. Yes the car has the phone module in the arm rest and bose, all the right side buttons are lit up, but the left side are not. Also the center buttons around the center knob wont work. Cant change settings. I have tried the reboot, pressing setup, center knob and top right button it reboots and still same thing.

Does the volume work? Functions on the steering wheel work, that's if you have the multi function steering wheel. The next step maybe ring break diag. Out there question, but did this happen after rain, or car wash?

If some of the buttons work, but others do not, you'll need to replace/repair the actual MMI control panel.

From all the cars we've seen with MMI issues, they system will totally shut off or non of the contorls will work if there is an issue with the amp or anything else that would require a ring break test.

yes the volume works, the turn dial works, cd, but others are iffy here and there. all functions on the steering wheel work well. what is a ring break diag? well it has been raining here quite a bit, I literally just bought the car earlier this week so I don't know much about it aside from the shape it was kept in.

I have no issues with any speakers or anything else with the car, but it is very irritating when I cant use the buttons I need to even select certain settings. I bet the system needs an update but I cant even do that because I cant select the buttons I need to.

When I bought mine the mmi didnt light. Only handbrake and steeringwheel buttons. So I got a new one from the scrapyard/ part car. 100EUR . So its not that bad in price to just replace it if u find one local.
If you anyway have to take it out to clean it. Heres an video link how to :)

Ok. I might have to check the scrapyard to see if one is available at a decent price. Yeah the only lights on this morning are the words on the buttons on the right. none of the little lights for each button work either. none of the buttons are sticky or anything and depress perfectly. but for some reason wont work. sometimes when I press the soft button to the left of the center knob it starts moving the mmi are on the screen.
