    Considering Eurodyne Stage 2

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Installed an 034 high flow cat christmas present last week. Just with the cat spool up was noticeably quicker, exhaust note a bit deeper, and power seemed improved. Cat removal was more of a hassle than I expected. Ended up pulling the cat and downpipe out rather than just the cat due to flaking apart bolts on the cat/downpipe connection and a very hard to remove lower oxygen sensor. Once out, cut the cat/downpipe bolts off with a dremel and heated up the oxygen sensor bung to free it up.

Installed an APR HPFP last weekend. Bought it rebuilt from USP. That rubber clamp on fuel line was a challenge to get off and back on, all else was smooth.

Now it is time for stage 2 software. Have Eurodyne stage 1 and can upgrade to stage 2 locally. Anyone running this? I have searched and found lots of Maestro threads, but none about Eurodyne Stage 2. Any feedback?

    Thanks,
    Kevin

That's because eurodyne sells maestro. Also with maestro there are no stages because it is a self tuning software, so you get a base tune and the it's revisions there after.
What ever makes sense go with the opposite and you got it

I know that eurodyne sells maestro, but they also sell a stage 2 tune with 280 hp and 330 torque. It requires a high flow cat and upgraded fuel pump. Anyone running this?

When you buy the cable they have base files in the program that you can use. Although when I was looking through the base files for stage 3 I didnt see my engine code there. But that was last night and I am on pain killers and muscle relaxers for a torn muscle in my back so I very well could have missed it.

My JHM stage 1 runs 300 hp + and 375 tq + (don't have actual numbers yet, but those are my approximate numbers with REVO 2+ and JHM 1 is faster/more powerful).

Sell your Eurodyne cable/hardware and step into the future of tuning.

Agreed, those are sick, particularly the torque. Much higher than the ranges on revo's site. Looking into JHM tune at a shop in East Rutherford NJ. Can this be flashed over my Eurodyne tune? Hoping the answer is yes. By the way, I don't have maestro, I bought the car with a eurodyne stage 1 tune.

I'm pretty sure they can flash over previous tunes no problem.

Yes, crank. And yes, everything but meth.

Here is my dyno progression through the stages of REVO.

Top whp figure matches 300 chp minus 25% drive train loss. Yes I know it's corrected, yes I know dynos aren't solid evidence.

Flashes right over Revo and APR at least.

We sell a lot of Eurodyne online and I think the reason for this is for customers that are looking to take control of their tuning.

Some of these other options look great if you are looking for a shelf tune that you do not want further need for anything for your particular set up or a custom specific tune for your car. The stage 2 tune from Eurodyne is fine but in the end to really take advantage of the Maestro Suite - it would be for you to tune your set up for your car.

    Hope that helps,
    Phil

    Nope!

But I would dyno stage 1 for the hell of it. Stage 2 will be nice but I don't have any ETA on it or how far we are willing to push the k03.

Where is this "dyno"? I'd love to do a dyno now, it's just a waste of money because I know I'll want to go again with stage 2. So i'd rather just do it once. Unless everyone wants to pitch in $5 till I have $100 to spend on this. :)

Customer who went from Uni stage 2+ to our stage 1 saw gains on the dyno in NJ. Gained like 20wtq or something like that. Can't remember the HP.

However, it was flashed on the dyno and dyno'd immediately being heat soaked and no time to adapt.

Yeah, that again seems like a waste. Sure it's cool that you could see immediate gains, but you are not getting the whole picture. That's like smelling my fart and suggesting my dinner was yummy.

cars is assspensive tho. Plus Bluewater always has more things that keep you on your toes! Like not strapping down all 4 wheels and only 3 of them spinning to 8k, or sparks coming out of the rollers.

Yeah, the only downside is that we road tune, not dyno tune. Since the dyno doesn't replicate actual load (IE: Windforce at 90mph etc..) our tunes typically won't see full load on the dyno, thus show less power since making power is relative to load. However, line it up on the road and the power is most definitely there, as you and my others have noticed first hand.

Eh...its a dyno, it will never be accurate, its just a rough mathematical calcuylation based on the cars ability to spin some rollers. People take dynos too seriously. I think drivability speaks to a lot mroe of the tune than a number from one RPM on a dyno.

    Typofest...too lazy to fix.

Honestly, who cars if it looks better or worse you know? It's a dyno on different days with different temps etc.. Better or worse there still a ton of variables being so far apart. Not to mention the point a brought up a few posts ago.

Lol, oh the chicky Carl got in trouble with his ex for knowing. ...lol

Yeah Carz is expensive, but that's where I go...if I went somewhere else, that would be everyone's excuse for why jhm looks so different from Revo.
I agree with this - go back to the same shop for the dyno so that there is at least one less variable that has changed. Plus mec didn't do a great job of selling Bluewater with the sparks and no tie-down pitch haha

    I may do this. ...

And Jake, we all know how jhm feels about dynos. But it's still solid evidence. No one is going to test their TV to see how many bazillion colors it can display, but there are still plenty of people who will buy a particular TV solely based on spec sheets without seeing one.

Also, totally just realized we ruined the Eurodyne thread. Lol.

    Yes, yes we did haha.

As for the dyno, those of us with half a brain realize that it's only an indicator of performance to be used alongside a number of other indicators, such as drive-ability, quarter mile time, whatever. It's not the be-all-end-all 'score' for a car. Personally, I like numbers, and not being able to actually test the tune in my car makes me want to see some numbers...just for kicks :)

However, line it up on the road and the power is most definitely there, as you and my others have noticed first hand.

Question for you: wouldn't any car not see full load on the dyno if we're talking about wind force being a factor? I'm not trying to argue, I just don't understand why your tune would be different on a dyno from any other ?
