    Getting sassy up in here!

I will have you know i sacrificed all my sleeping time to get this thing moving today. I cleaned up the car last night, removed the AC system, removed the exhaust, bolted the engine up and propped it up with some wood and got it ready for the tow. Then I slept three hours, towed it and spent a few hours tlaking with the fabricator about what we need.

A few changes have been made....im not going to run NA anymore, I'm gonna go straight to running a turbo, turns out the OEM manifold doesn't fit and I don't care to invest money into a custom NA manifold.

I've also started to consider going with a smaller turbo. The 8374 is going to be a monster, and after driving a ttrs with a very small turbo I've seen that the 5 cyl is a very torquey engine, i won't need a huge turbo to be happy driving around town. So I might be going with an EFR 7163 instead, or a garrett gtx3582r....haven't fully decided yet.

twin scroll is def happening. Even if i have to QSV it. in fact it will probably be QSV since its a bit tough to split 5 cylinders into a pair.

Yeah it would be tough to run a twin scroll with 5 cylinders. Mec for some reason I thought you had a dtm package. Well hope all goes well with the fabricator.

Don't have much to update on the car, it's stil at the fabricator but we have been waiting on this part

It's the plate that goes between the engine and tranny, but this plate has two ears on the bottom for using this style of mount

So we are thinking of doing those in the rear and s nice beefy snub in the front.

In other news, I received a very nice present today.

Shiro1745 sent me this gorgeous canvas.

Haven't had time to hang it yet but here it is displayed with much better pictures

It really looks fantastic, he was super quick to create it and ship it, he helped touch up the picture to give it a better look, and he added some special touches to make it really stand out on canvas.

He did an amazing job, it looks stunning in real life, a huge thanks to Shiro1745, and I highly recommend him for all your printing needs.

Well over all running well. Keep blowing pipes off (lol). The pressure plate collapsed on me which I just got sorted out last week. That happened while tunning. Get time to time her properly seems to be my biggest issue right now. But god damn does she move. I also gotta replace the oil return line as its leaking pretty bad. All and all I'm still very happy. Just have complications.

Is it blowing the drivers side now? Might just need some new clamps. I never blew the drivers side, but the passengers side was always blowing apart so thats why i did that whole side in solid piping.

how did the pressure plate collapse? I'm actually not even sure what that is lol.

Where is the leak from? You might be able to just cutoff the end of the hose and reinstall the hose end, if not that hose is pretty cheap, itsl ike $4 a foot, and you can reuse the hose ends usually.

Yeah man, lol I remember how she moves, I miss it for sure, this new build is taking forever, with my work schedule I just feel like it doesn't get any progress.

The clutch pressure plate. It was something to do with a shortened slave pushrod from the previous owner of his car.

No, I didn't tune it. I just read his build thread lol. Changing the length of the slave pushrod will change the engagement point of the clutch pedal. It's pretty easy to over-do it though, since a tiny change in pushrod length is a big change in pedal travel.

interesting, and so that can make the pressure plate collapse? what is a collapse? like the SAC ratchets out? or you just break the pressure plate?

Not really sure, but I'm guessing that the fingers on the PP aren't quite as springy as they used to be.

Um heat basically is what they were thinking. And I need to update my thread on this. The rod was not shortened in the end. Could have been an number of things. From hard launches to bad install and everything in between. In the end it's fixed. Now I just need to actually tune her. I'm probably going to run mafless.

Generally what people do at this elevation just cause the pressure changes so much. Like I can drive it fine one day.....the next its constantly limp. Now that I've got it shifting good I'm going to take some proper logs. Fix the tune. See how it does. I ran it mafless for a day and it ran so smooth it was amazing.

Hmm interesting, You should join our performance game. Over in Firefox's build thread we have been doing third gear pulls and measuring 40-80 and 35-90, would be interesting to see how much more power it has now with a better tune and at sea level.
