Review of Weathertech digital floor liners

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
After reading the rave reviews online of the Weathertech floor liners I decided to take the plunge on these to protect my new S4 this winter.

The fit and quality of materials are nice but after the first major snowfall I have found that the entire carpet under my drivers seat, the seat rails and around the dead pedal have been coated with salt water and dirt that has spilled off the mats while driving.

The passenger side also had spillage around the outside seat rail.

The rear liners seem to have done better but I rarely have folks in the back seats.

I have been pretty careful about not letting a lot of water or snow build up on them and I knock my feet off so it hasn't been a swimming pool down there by any means; the mats just do not contain water well enough.

I will be changing to all weather mats that have served me well in the past.

Did you get the Digital Fit mats ...

Or did you get the All Weather mats ...

The Digital Fit mats do a great job at preventing water, slush, salt residue, etc, from getting onto the carpeting. I have had the Digital Fit mats and have never had any "spillage" or contamination of the carpeting in 4 years of ownership.

Apparently not spirited enough to slosh slush over the raised edges of the mats!

chuckle... funny thread. My digi fits work in every different make car I put em in. If you don't want any spilling of your carpets.... park the car.

My digital fits do the job properly..I sometime notice they come "unbuttoned"..I am lucky to have a garage with quick access to a wet/dry vacuum…A quick slurp usually takes care of any excessive water between full cleanings.

Haha if you have puddles in your car then you need to dry in between trips or wipe off your boots before getting in the car. Should not have this issue.

If you spill over with weathertechs, wouldn't you spill over even more with lower lipped regular all season mats?

If he's spilling over the weather techs then oem rubber mats are going to be submerged.

Love my weather techs, we get lots of snow and since I switched to them in 2011 I haven't had the salty ring in any of my cars!

No offense but you must be a slob to get that much water on your carpet with those weather tech mats.... i've been through three winters so far with those mats and i dont have a drop of water on my carpets. Not a single stain.

I do make sure to not carry in shovel loads of snow with my shoes when i get into the car though... how hard is it to kick your feet together to keep your car clean?

OR, there must be some leak occurring from somewhere that you should def. get checked out ASAP.

No offense but please learn to read before you post "I have been pretty careful about not letting a lot of water or snow build up on them and I knock my feet off so it hasn't been a swimming pool down there by any means"

My WEATHERTECH ALL WEATHER MATS in my other cars have worked much better IMO and cost less.

there was no need to read beyond the first three lines... there is something wrong with what you are doing or some leak. fix one or both of these issues and you'll be all set.
