    A3 8P Facelift Question

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I am currently shopping for a new Grille. I own a 2007 A3 8P S-line with HID headlights, open sky package. I keep reading about "pre facelift" A3 vs the facelift A3.

I am trying to figure out what the difference it makes with the Grille. I see some 8Ps have different front bumper lines (usually with halogen headlights) that connect with bumper side marker light. Is the pre-face lift a reference to non US Domestic cars with a true bumper and double grille?

    so confused...

yes your car is pre-facelift, it ran from 2006-2008, then in 2009 they did a facelift.

    This is a facelift A3

Different headlights, bumper, hood, fenders and grill.

Thanks Mr Das Ponto. I did realize 2009+ Models had design enhancements but I didn't realize they were also 8P's.

Appreciate you taking the time to answer my question. Some of these jack asses that post grilles for sale make their descriptions confusing.

I think I'm going with a badgless chrome grille. It doesn't seem like it's a very popular option but I can't help but do a double take when I see 2013+ Allroad grille. If I'm not mistaken, you have the black version of what im talking about.

    Thanks again man...

thanks for sharing, looking to move away from the HoneyComb look. It does look sharp with Red though.

I agree, I have gotten crickets on some questions and it can be quiet on this forum. I'm more active some months than others, depending on what projects I am researching or sharing stuff I've done. I just installed a K&N Typhoon, now it's time for a little more curb appeal.

Ok so it only took about 45 minutes for me to do this by myself. I realize that after reading some posts about this topic, you can basically man handle your stock grill off without taking the whole bumper off. What a waste of time that would have been.

    I went from this...

    to this.... for $75 bucks

    Appreciate the help fellas

Oh boy I'd have to do some digging. This is a throw back for sure. It's an oem black s line grill though.
