Your Fuel Consumption for the A5 Coupe 2.0t Quattro

Me personally i get around 12-13l/100km(19.602-18.094 mpg) combined. Is this normal? Sometimes i like to floor the car but normally i just go 2-3k revs and it changes gears. Online it says it should get around 7.6l/100km(30.95mpg) which is way off to what i get. What about you guys?

Depends on what your combined driving is. If mostly city then expect a lower combined MPG. If more highway then expect higher. In my A5 I used to get anywhere from 18-26mpg combined depending on if I was stuck in City traffic or driving in the suburbs. The combined 30mpg is unrealistic unless you were driving CVT with mild acceleration and never going above 65mph. I used to get 32-33 highway only when traveling steadily at 80mph. the best I got was 36 when driving at a steady 60mph on highway only.

That sounds about right and where my consumption is also. Your mpg will take a hit also if you have more ethanol in the mix. Most places by me show 10% mixed in.

Honestly, my record was 41 MPG... but that was coming out of Tahoe... it was cold and slight down-hill... but it did sustain for quite some time (I truly should have taken a photo as no one believes it's possible).

The mileage I get varies on the fuel map setting I use. If I use 91, I get in the mid-30's... but if I use the 100, I get in the mid-20's.

For completeness, I have a manual and also an HFC (which really helps).

As noted by dejangcool, if you're using E85 or a higher ethanol blend... you can expect your mileage to be in the mid-20's.

Additionally, if you're driving in a warmer climate, you can expect mileage to drop.

Lastly, mileage is a reflection of the weight you're hauling around so... ditch that spare and anything else you might have loitering in the trunk.

No idea if it is normal, but in my opinion that's pretty bad for a 2.0. My 3.0 supercharged S5 has an average of 18.9mpg over 12,700miles (independently calculated by fuel amounts bought, divided by mileage). And I drive with a pretty heavy foot.....

I noticed that my S4/A4/A5 all had about similar MPG even though one was a V6.
So I'd say it has more to do with your driving style and the local roads/fuel than just the engine.

I went from around 20 mpg to 24 mpg (all city driving) by installing a test pipe and stage 2 tune. This is as measured by the ECU, not actual mpgs. Of course I'm on 90 octane with no ethanol and my average ambient temps have also dropped to the mid 20s, so that helps as well. I'll have to see what I get in the summer when temps go up and my gas peddle is depressed to the floor for short bursts on a regular basis.

    My 2.0T 6MT in the city I average 10L/100km. When I really give it a bit 12-14l/100km.
took highway once, uphill-ish for 300km, I was at 7.5L/100km and on the way back (downhill ish) it was at 6.8L/100km ish.
Since then I've been sitting at 9.1L/100km.

yeah thats me as well, if i dont go over 2k revs i can manage 10l, but im not that picky that i have to press the throttle like 5% especially at 1st gear so i get good mpg

I get around 21 mpg with 80% city driving. Im really easy on the throttle with very little WOT opportunities. I do live around hills and I think that kills my gas mileage. I just got an APR stage 1 flash...we'll see what happens with my gas mileage shortly.

When I commute to my job I get about 28-32 mpg but that's strictly highway. Around town I get about 22mpg. 2010 A5 2.0t
