middle of drivers side winshield wiper doesnt touch windshield

Last week I swapped out my windshield wipers for a new set of the Valeo frameless wipers off Amazon. I used a 22 for the passenger side and 23 for the drivers side. My old wipers were the same extact size and brand. The problem I am having is the middle portion of the drivers side wiper blade doesnt touch the windshield. its almost as if the wiper blades are too bent. I exchanged the wiper blade for another brand new one from Amazon with the same issue. Anyone ever have this happen? I cant tell if they are defective wiper blades or if something is off on my car.

Mine does the same thing. I think it has something to do with the wiper its self. I don't know if the spring isn't strong enough for certain blades or what. I've had good luck with the bosch blades.

Could it be the size? Are you using the 23" on the driver side? Mine are both 22 and no issues at all. I just installed new valeos.

I've had good performance with 2 sets of Bosch Aerotwin 22" / 22". The 23" might be the issue. Switch sides and see if that helps.

I'm wondering the same about the 23 on the drivers side. That is what Amazon's "fit guide" said I should use and I wonder if they are wrong.

On my second set of Valeo wipers and no issues whatsoever. They are identical to OE Audi. I use 22 on both sides. Try the 22 on the driver side and see if that helps.

If the center isn't touching they're installed wrong. My valeos are working perfectly.

Also the OEM wipers are Valeo. Also they're both the same size.

Amazon was nice enough to send me 2 brand new 22 Valeo wipers for free because of the issues I was having. Please see the pic below. Notice how the center of the wiper doesnt make contact with the lower portion of my windshield.

save yourself the trouble and just bend the wiper. problem solved. The spring on the wiper arm might be stretched a little causing it to not apply enough pressure.

I fixed mine, I found that there are little tabs on the blade that you can slide. I slid them all the way out to the ends and then flexed the blades outward to stretch them. Now they work fine again.
