Opinions on Raceland coilovers?

I have a 08 A4 2.0T S-Line

I want to lower my car to reduce hugeeeeeee gap it has on top of the tires, not to the point where I necessarily have to worry about every bump I drive over, just lowered a little right above the wheel or just right above it. In addition, I'm not trying to spend a huge amount of money on coilovers and these http://www.racelandus.com/coilovers/...coilovers.html are not to pricey being at 370. Has anyone had any experience with these? Or knows of any cheaper/same price that may be better?

Some of the GTI guys

these and for the lowered look is fine

. But the ride quality has something to be desired

. Ive heard great things about Sole werks for 499.00 shipped. Raceland will be only 45.00 difference shipped to my area

. I'd go with the Solo's

would the ride quality i have now be worse or the same if i were to put in raceland's?

Racelands are junk. The people who say they are good are mostly kids who just want to be slammed for dirt cheap- not the best judges of quality to say the lest. I'd heavily avoid, I'd even go with the Solowerks above Racelands.

If you want a solid budget coilover I'd go with Vogtland GTs. http://shop.achtuning.com/Vogtland-G...and-B7-A4.aspx

I may be looking at the wrong items due to the fact that I am new at all this

but i see the Vogtland's going for 800~ which is kind of expensive. Also, I see the solowerks going to about 650~. Is the 650 compare to the 350 worth it? I mean, in all honestly, I just want to lower my car, nothing more.

Why would you not go with ST's for much cheaper? I love mine.

STs are definitely a quality option, although I only see them listed for $800 currently. I know my friend got them for cheaper though.

I actually believe the Vogtlands use a KW shock body just like the STs, but they have a higher rear spring rate to help eliminate understeer. Worth the extra $$ IMO.

Ehh. I'd rather do it right and avoid any issues in the long run. I wouldn't expect great performance or longevity from SoloWerks or Racelands when compared to the other options.

But it depends on your budget I suppose. Even $800 is very cheap for coilovers IMO when the high performance options are running north of $2,000. PSS9s at $1949, KW V3 at $2,200 etc...
