Exclamation Washer jet nozzle conversion to passat spray fan type

In the middle of trying to get this conversion to work. Here's what I've got so far:

    Followed this thread:http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...Jet-Conversion

    Ordered the part: http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-...tem/ES2631509/

But I can't adjust the sprayer to hit my windshield properly...

They adjust with a screwdriver, and I've maxed them all the way "up" and still cant get it to spray anywhere close to the middle of the glass.
Has anyone done this on a B6? Were you able to aim them properly??? If so, how??

    Thanks in advance

Have you tried sticking a pin in the sprayer nozzle and repositioning it?

    Hey OG,

That's the method I used to re-aim my Audi jet style nozzle's. I had done this procedure a few times before with a safety pin.
The new ones are adjusted using a Torx screwdriver, but no matter how I adjust them I can't get the spray to get over my wiper arms.

This conversion seems to work fine on B7 models (from what I'm reading) so I'm just trying to see if anyone was able to fit them properly on a B6

Here's a video of what it should look like.. My spray barely gets 1/4 of the way up on the windshield.

The spray pattern required to cover the windshield when driving, is lower than the pattern with the car stopped. This is due to the fact that the air flow while driving tends to cause the spray to flow with the airflow over the roof.

Honda guys had this problem, they would convert from the Twin spray style Civic/Integra, to the RSX Fan spray, and the problem was that the RSX had a stronger washer pump so at speed, the guys who converted to RSX Fan spray wouldn't have enough pressure behind the spray to make it do a damn thing...

    Just a thought.

Necrobump here, but my issue isn't the adjustment. I've noticed that I've been getting reduced pressure. I have the fan spray style nozzles as well, and the spray is no where near as wide as in that video. Makes me wonder if my washer pump is going out... already checked to make sure the nozzles weren't clogged.

I've used an old credit card wedged under the hood to change the angle of the spray; out of habit now I also give a brief spray if starting the wipers from scratch and then timing later sprays so that the wiper movement is best positioned to spread the fluid across more of the windshield.

I attempted this retrofit last fall also and so far have not been happy with the results. I even bought the spacers to provide the better angle.
The spray is definitely too low on the windshield, even when driving at speed.
The fan spray hits the wiper arms, as opposed to over the arms and spreading across the windshield properly.
I'll revisit it in the spring when it warms up a little, but am seriously considering going back to originals.
