    B6 S4 axle interchangeable with a4?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I just ordered a front right axle for my 04 b6 s4 6-speed. The axle I ordered is from a b7 A4 6-speed. I was told it would fit but I could be wrong. Anyone know ? Thanks

Check the part numbers on ECS or GAP to see if they match... although I can almost guarantee 100% that they're not the same.

Wherever you ordered the parts from, they should just replace it with the parts from the correct make/model/year that you asked for instead of trying to convince you they'll fit. Once you try installing them they'll flat out deny you an exchange saying the parts were installed.

Axles are all different for different transmissions. The B6 S4 and B7 A4 use different 6-speed transmissions so they aren't compatible.

Stop trying to buy a cheaper axle. Either get the right one, or find a salvage yard on ebay to get a cheap OEM lower mileage one. The usually come with lifetime warranties from the salvage places anyway.
