2015 S5 Revo Stage 1+ (Pics and Video Inside)

Good evening everyone!

I decided get a tune for my car and went with Revo! I did my homework, looked around and decided Revo is the best choice out there for me. As I posted before, my car ran 13.1 on 93 Octane (1/2 tank) with no modifications whatsoever.

I now have Revo Stage 1+ (pulley upgrade) with no DSG tune yet. My Revo dealer read the transmission file and sent it over to the headquarters to get a DSG tune for me. The car still has no mods other than the tune. Intake upgrade is in the near future.

I ran 12.4 today on a very slippery surface. I showed at the end of a bracket racing and the track was in horrible condition. As you can see in the video, there is debris all over the track. Looking forward to a better surface and my DSG file.

No offense but you said you did your research...

Are you aware of the fail of the Revo DSG software?

How about the Revo tune basically desensitizing the knock sensors?

That Revo blew a few motors with a tune only.

That Revo is the only tuner without an 11 second pass..

That the only tuner seeing any success with facelift cars is GIAC.

Congrats! Any chance you will be posting logs at some point too? There's been a lot of speculation regarding the tune and how the method they use is different from the rest. I'm trying to decide between all of them, and while I'm a noobie when it comes to all of this, I'm hoping folks on here with more knowledge can share their analysis. By the looks of things, you seem to be moving (pun) in the right direction, given you're running that time without all the suggested enhancements. Congrats, again!

Congrats! Was this your first time with the new tune? Looks like you picked up about 5mph over stock. ET was great but trap could be a little higher.

Do you recall what the DA was when you went stock vs this weekend?

Maybe try mixing in some race gas next time if you didn't this time. Revo does seem to run pretty significant timing on their tunes (more than stock) and you may have been seeing timing drops if running on 93.

No offense, but if you read correctly I mentioned that this tune is the best FOR ME! This does not necessarily mean it is the best option for everyone. It is the bet option for me for many reasons, most importantly the location of the dealer.

Yes, there were maybe a few blown motors, but out of thousands this is not a significant factor when it comes to choosing a tune. Maybe your car sucks with REVO tunes, but mine evidently does not. (no issues whatsoever)

Now, I want you to sit tight and read the next post that will be up in a second. Stop making false claims, **GIAC IS NOT** the only tuner with success on facelift cars. Better yet, REVO IS NOT the only tuner without 11 second passes.

I took the car to the track today at Englishtown, NJ. List of the mods are below:

REVO Stage 1+ --- Running on half tank of 100 Octane
ROC-EURO Intake (love that sound)

No weight mods whatsoever and stock everything else.

The following run was 11.985 @ 113.68

I am sorry, I really did not pay attention to DA. I did mix some 100 Octane this weekend and ran some pretty good numbers. See the post above.

No DSG Tune yet, REVO stated it should be ready for me soon. I cannot wait to run this beast with the DSG tune. I will also look into some higher octane fuel.

A lot of discussion has been made on whether or not the DSG tune adds anything significant to the 1/4mi performance of the 3.0Ts. I think most agree it helps, the question is how much- eg 1/10th vs 3/10ths.

When you get the DSG tune it would be appreciated if you can record the temp/conditions, weight, gas etc and try to run the car again the same way with the DSG tune to see how much faster it is. Word is the DSG tune helps launch a little vs mash-n-go so it might be useful to try mash-n-go vs launch control too.

As soon as the DSG is ready to go I will post some numbers. The season is almost over (this Friday is the last day), I hope I will get it done before then. If not, we will have to wait until the next season.

Without the DSG tune, I am having a lot of fun with this car. I cannot wait!
