Hey guys, i'm looking for ideas on what to do with my interior. When i first got it, i really liked the Cardamom Beige interior. But I'm starting to feel that it is incredibly... boring lol. just one note. Has anyone with Beige interior done anything to spice it up? Just looking for picutres of ideas that anyone has done. more and more i'm wising i had black or at least grey. Its pretty tough to do any modifications to the Beige.......... I wish i could sell it all and change it to black but its tough to find all of the parts i need. Any ideas let me know...

Speaking of beige interior... Has anyone had one of those beige or white/oyster interiors for 5+ years? Is it actually possible to have it looking decent after all that time? My black leather and alcantara still looks pretty good with minimal maintenance and kids using the cars. I was thinking of a light color for the next car but I will keep it for at least 5 years and I've seen many old cars with those interiors with stains, discoloration, large shiny patches etc.

Mine is a 2011 and the previous owners were pretty rough on it. The beige leather gets very, very shiny after a little wear. In order to keep it looking fresh i have to stay on top of it. Very high maintanence but maybe that's just me.

Another issue i have with the beige is that it seems that the it actually looks worn down. there are spots that just don't look right (turning dark) or even some stains that won't come out. if i had the choice again, given my children (11, 4, and 15 months) I would definitely choose a darker option.

Its so bad (imo) that i have even considered refinishing the entire inside with SEM lol. i know that may sound crazy and I'm just not sure how it would turn out so i'm kinda hesitant on it. I'm sure others have had a better experience if the car was actually treated like an audi by the previous owners... :/

yea never was a fan of the beige interiors on the A4, black definitely looks great.

maybe you can swap out your front seats with black ones? and possibly swap your steering wheel for a black one too, those are the 2 quickest options i can think of.

some pics of your interior would help maybe you can wrap some trim in gloss black or something.

Mine is bone stock right now. A lot of the Ibis White A4s come in the Beige interior. Mine is an exact copy of this:

I would start with carbon fiber trim pieces and black floor mats... get the rubber all weather ones. ECS has a set for a good price.

I actually have the black floor mats now. wasn't paying attention to those pics. I have 2 other friends with audis... one has a new Q5, one with a 2015 A6 and they had the OEM rubber mats too....so i just thought they just came with the car. and i do like the idea of carbon fiber. just wondering if it will look right with the beige. waiting for pics from oascom before i research

My 2009 (originally sold December of '08) has the Cardamom Beige interior and it still looks mint. I'm OCD about it though... No food in the car, frequent vacuums etc.

I have Cardamom interior as well, but found some black S-line seats (front and rear) and swapped it all out. I also have a black flat-bottom steering wheel and black shifter knob. The contrast looks great, and I'll snap some pics when I get the car back from the dealer.

I also want to wrap all of my aluminum trim with this 3M brushed black metallic vinyl—I think it'd look fantastic.

Oh wow i would love to find some black S-Line seats. I have been looking out for them and haven't got lucky so far. Would love to see pics. this stuff is so rare... internet searches just don't help.

I think that color would look great and would definitely go well with your seats.

i know style is subjective, but i agree -- IMO the beige + grey on the OEM inserts / shrouds look so neutral, boring and basic. disclaimer: not everyone wants black everything, I do.

You should try the CF inserts (look up 3M wrap carbon fiber trim ~30 DIY, or the real deal for ~500 (i think?) ) and perhaps the glossy instrument cluster surround. paired w/ black weathertechs, you'd have some aggressive "pops" of black against the beige seats, rather than the existing light grey which almost blends in (a desirable effect, for some, no doubt)

I'm not sure, of course it'd be best to see it before committing, but just a thought.

I have grey - it is pretty decent. Despite being an admittedly boring color, it hides dirt well - certainly better than beige, is very easy to clean and has held up exceptionally well after two years. Black looks great when it is clean, but think I would find it to be depressing after a while.

Believe it or not I found mine on eBay... They were super clean, and came out of a wrecked 2013 Allroad with 13k miles. So I'd keep hunting around until some eventually pop up!

Here's a pic for the time being. I'll be sure to take some with much better lighting and in different angles so you can REALLY see how they look.

Very nice! You officially convinced me to proceed with the brushed black metallic 3M vinyl wrap! The contrast between the Cardamom and carbon fiber looks fantastic, so now I know that brushed black metallic would look awesome. Do you think 5ft x 2ft is a safe amount to order?

i was going to say do gloss black trim on all the silver, so something like oascom is nice, or you can go for a brushed metallic black or gloss black if you dont want to use CF pattern. also like crash posted, will look much nicer with a black steering wheel and shifter too, and front seats if you can spend more, although i think on a beige interior some dark brown seats would look good, maybe the door panels too.

ok so i should look to buy this:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-12-AUDI...7e0126&vxp=mtr

LOVE the way the CF looks and love how the black seats look with the beige also.

Also, one more thing, I did find a wrecked S5.... would seats from that work? maybe only the front seats? the guy said i could get the front seats for 700 if i pulled them myself. i'm not sure that the back seats would work

Very nice find! I think the carbon fiber trim would accent the suede inserts very nicely.

I can't answer your question about the S5 rear seats, but I know the fronts will work perfectly.

Same, beige 09 (08 build) here and still looks great after nearly 6 years. The rear seatbelts look to have caught a few coffee spills but that's the previous owner's fault . Just take care of it and you wont have any problems, most surfaces in the car are very resistant to staining anyway.

Wow ok you guys are making me feel a little more comfortable with possible changes. I found the 3M carbon fiber wrap so i'll start there. Then I'll do the shifter. That'll take care of the cheap stuff. depending on how my money looks, I'll do seats or steering wheel at the turn of the year. Thanks a lot guys.

If anyone else has anymore pictures i would love to see them as well.

Did anybody who replaced their cardamom mats with darker want to sell the mats, assuming they are still in good shape. My red/beige A4 is growing on me, but while I would have preferred a black or grey interior the MT6 was more important.

both of those ideas combined would look so hot. I think I might have to pull the trigger on these two

crash1211 - what about your rear seat? did u also get that from the same car? I've wanted a flat bottom steering wheel for soo long but they dont make them in beige so that's my main reason for wanting this.

I placed an order for the wrap today! I'll post some pics once I get my car back and when the trim is all wrapped... Flat-bottom wheels are freaking sweet and I don't think it would look out of place if you bought a black shifter knob and wrapped your interior trim.

Yep, I got them from the same car:

OK so I got some 3M CF wrap and did all of my trim except the middle portion aby the shifter. Will do that one soon. Here's how it looks. I love it and will do the shifter next:

I'm going to redo the one by the AMI screen. I ran out of time and couldn't finish it properly. Every other piece came out perfectly. I'll have enough to do it when I buy the roll for the shifter surround trim

Thanks a lot. Now if I could just get the shifter surrounding trim off...... I tried really hard to pull it but nah. I may have to do that one without taking it off.

I hear the center console trim is especially difficult to do well unless it's removed. If I were you (which I will be soon) I would be patient, take it apart, and do it right the first time.

That CF looks great, nicely done! Vinyl can be a PITA to use but it doesn't look like you had any issues.

I didn't take any of my trim. Center console is tricky to do. Just take your time and do it ;)

Hmmm beige!!! I wouldn’t recommend using beige as seat covers because you need to clean them frequently. I have heard from many upholsterers that if you need distinguish interior design you have one only choice which is leather and I agree with that. I had changed my car seat covers for my Audi . First of all, these seat covers are a really great fit and also easy to install which are made from special leather material. Additionally, when I called them they were really helpful and convenient. Honestly they made my car look better. Would strongly recommend them! :D

Thanks a lot! It seemed pretty simple. just made large cutouts and trimmed just enough to fold over. Used a blow dryer to mold around rounded corners and stretch over edges. then used X-acto knife to finish up. it took maybe 2 hours to do the 7 pieces. Center Console is next. Then on to the next mini project.

Hi there... my actual seats are OEM Cardomum Beige Leather... no seat covers. When i change to black, i'll be looking to replace the seats, not cover my current ones. I actually looked into seat covers and found that i was not a big fan at all. just doesn't feel right for me.
