Hello everyone here are some photos of my car this past Sunday at the Island Import Day in Long Island NY. Please share your photos of your S6. I know there are many A6 photos but just curious as to what others have done to their S6 and mod lists.

its no milltek ( thats what i really want) but it sounds great IMO.

They're the stock 18" with my winter tires. I think they were only available for '07 because '08 after they all have the other style.

Nice to see another Canadian S6 join the forums. That stitched dash is very rare, and a nice touch (especially with the carbon trim)

Mine didnt have the stitched dash stock, so when I found one on German eBay, I snatched it up

It is the only C6 Alcantara stitched dash that I have ever seen. So, as far as I know, it is one of a kind worldwide. The install is going to be a bitch though.

BTW, make sure you check out the S6 v10 Info Dump on AudiRevolution. I created it as a single place to gather data and track technical issues with these cars. The link in my sig is blocked, so PM me if you have problems finding the site.

I will be starting a C6 Intro members thread on AR soon. There are various top notch technical guys over there, so I encourage anyone with these cars to join.

Read your V10 dump through and through. Already planning to do the carbon cleaning this month, so far car has been a gem.

Hey man! I didnt recognize you from your screen name.

Great to hear the new S6 is meeting all your expectations. The C6 S6 is a really cool car in so many ways.

The carbon clean, if overdue, should free up power in the top end when complete. Also a good idea to take a look at the air filters, as they can get pretty clogged up over time.

The S6 Info Dump is coming along very nicely, thanks especially to a few guys on here (Irish and jmswashere) and other places who shared all the details of the work that was done on their v10 S6s, and answered my never-ending series of questions. By posting their lists of parts replaced, we are slowly piecing together all the weak points of the car, and taking some of the mystery out of the v10 and its issues. Future owners, especially those without warranties, will greatly benefit from their work. So big props to them!

OK, while Ill start saving up now. But I still can't sell you the dash, unfortunately. If you knew what I went through to get the thing, you would understand LOL

Looking forward to seeing what you have planned for next. I would hope for another Audi wagon project, but Audi is making that harder and harder for us Avant fans.

Hahaa... I had heard that they want to change that law, to make it longer.

Man, I think I am officially all C5'd out. I tried to get into the last C5 S6 project, and I REALLY loved that car for a lot of reasons. But right before I was ready to dump a boatload of cash into it to take it to the next level, I decided that I was done. That is when I started looking for a new project car, and eventually settled on the v10 S6.

The C5 RS6 was once the king of the hill, but now with all the recent Audi turbo engines, I dont think it would make sense in 2018. By then, youll be able to pickup an S7 for about $40k or less. And I am hoping that I can take the v10 to levels much higher than that of a stock, or even tuned, RS6.

Damn, look at Ynnekdude. The guy is laying down a 12.55 with relatively inexpensive mods on his A6 3.0t sedan (see the 1/4 mile results on AudiRevolution for more details). Yes, a C5 RS6 is capable of that. If it is running well, and is tuned right. But many of them run MUCH slower. So, I just don't see that car as the top dog it once was.

I'm more C7 than C5 :) Or maybe A7, or Q7, or Touareg, or I have no clue because there's nothing I really want... That's why I still have the old wagon

I hear ya... settled on a S6 sedan. Would have killed for a S6 wagon. Looked at a 3.0T A6 Wagon but wasn't sold on it. Loved my B6 S4 Avant but didn't want another timing chain nightmare again... oh well. those S7 look mighty fine.....

I follow this too. Being the insurance industry we see those stats all day... it's not the LHD cars that are an issue. I could see a ban on RHD cars over changing the 15 yr rule. Part of the issue with the accident numbers too that the gov't didn't discuss was the age of the drivers. Reports are showing that it's sub 25 yr old drivers with 280hp+ vehicles are experiencing the highest number of accident... add RHD and poor visibility, ect.... and that's a recipe for disaster. Oddly enough the stats are kinda flawed as there isn't a significant increase in total accidents, they are just seeing an increase in the number of collisions that involve RHD cars, which makes sense as their numbers are growing. That's enough discussion that doesn't involve pics of S6 V10 lol.
