Yes, I've used it on my current car and my last car without any issues. Getting cash back on the Amex doesn't hurt either.

Cheapest fuel by far locally, almost 40 cents a gallon currently. Became a top tier fuel about 4 or 5 months ago. Have used on my APR tuned without a problem.

How about Arco? I've stayed away from them in the past, but now they are on the Top Tier list. So I've been wondering since they were put on there. $2.99 a gallon for premium sounds a lot better than the $3.55+ I normally see with 76/Shell..

I'm not going to test it by putting it in my car! Costco is already less than most places and with the True Earnings AMEX it is probably less than Arco in the long run.

I have used both Costco and SAMs without any issues, but I always use Aces4 fuel additive in all my cars. It boost octane, acts as a preservative, increases fuel economy & most importantly acts as a lubricant to the combustion chamber while keeping carbon out of the engine. I won't drive any hi-performance car with out.

How much HP difference could you detect? These monthly gas threads are very informative/entertaining.

I have worked on customers cars that have used Costco gas religiously and some that are like me and only put chevron or 76.

Let me tell you that there is huge difference as far as carbon buildup.

I also notice that those filling up with costco gas are fouling out their plugs and Lambda sensors earlier and more often.

I don't understand how people can be so cheap on gas on their mid level priced cars.(cough cough)

Its makes me laugh to see owners of MBZ and BMW's put Arco in their cars.

It must be a pissing contest thing.

If you can't afford good gas you might as well drive a camry.

Arco and Costco are both "Toptier" which means they have way more cleaning additives in their fuel than non TopTier. Top Tier is a marketing thing but the additives are there. cars you are working on must be high mileage.

I've had my last car and this car with Costco gas and haven't had any issues with carbon build up (knock on wood). Last car was a turbo also and had 65K milles and no issues and current 26K same. Not sure what the other guys with Costco gas were doing....

I generally stick with either Shell (preferable) or Mobil; however, Costco is generally out of my way, anyway, so I've yet to fill up there.

idling in line negates the small savings in fuel costs. waiting in line to get gas wasting precious time throughout my day is not worth the time.

I have been using it on my jhm tune for the past 2000 miles and have not had any issues. An am radio station out here did a little segment on it and said that it is right along with chevron and 76 as far as quality. Filled up today for $50. The whole 16.2 gallons. 3.19 for premium.

I would argue that the brand of fuel used isn't as important in DI cars as it may have been in port injected cars. The detergent properties dont really do anything for you in terms of keeping your intake valves clean since you're injecting straight into the cylinder. The things to worry about would be the adherence to minimum octane standards and the water content in the fuel, both of which are regulated by the state in which you buy your fuel. That being said... I still always buy the same brand of fuel when I can find it, and when I'm in town, I always buy from the same station; I have never had a case of "bad" fuel yet.

Just like with most uneducated people who make assumptions, gas is just gas right? It's not and where you fill up matters, but it's your car, not mine.

Please do yourself a favor and get a Camry or Kia, since gas is such a big expense for you.

Costco branded gas is in the same regard as Arco. Top tier is just a marketing term that costco paid to have so they can atttact miseducated customers.

I'm all about saving money but gas isn't worth the savings IMHO.

Catalytic Converters, Spark Plugs and Lambda Sensors are so expensive in these premium cars.

Just cause you won't have problems now, you will see significant problems later from low quality gas.

I got 99 car problems but using cheap gas isn't one

I'm not sure where you are getting facts that Costco gas is in the same regard as Arco. I've used gas from both and Arco is not in any way similar to Costco. For science I filled up Chevron instead of Costco and noticed not additional benefits in power or gas mileage and drove the same way for a week so that and the fact that I've had no carbon buildup issues is my real world evidence.

Furthermore do not know where the get yourself a Camry or Kia comment is coming from but not necessary for this forum.

Catalytic Converters, Spark Plugs and Lambda Sensors are so expensive in these premium cars.

Just cause you won't have problems now, you will see significant problems later from low quality gas.

I got 99 car problems but using cheap gas isn't one

Gas all comes from the same place and each retailer adds their additives to be different. Top Tier (which I think is more a marketing thing than anything) requires certain additives (detergents) and all members comply. Its far above government requirements. Arco and Costco are members. I've been driving about 30,000 miles per year for 39 years and have never experienced ANY fuel or fuel related issue and I fill up just about anywhere. Whats wrong with Toyota and Kia? I don't follow that logic.
