    Reset "Service Due!" with VCDS Vag-Com [Fixed]

    Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    I was trying to reset a Service Due! on an Audi S4 B8 and using the SRI Reset was not clearing the code. I had to manually reset Channel 53 & 55 to 0

    17-Instruments
    10-Adaptation
    Channel 53 [Distance since inspection]-> 0
    Channel 55 [Time since Inspection]-> 0

    When I ran the SRI Reset, both these values remained at 155 and 280 respectively.

    Not sure if this is a bug in VCDS or if it has to do with the fact that this is a Canadian car but I thought I'd share if anyone else is having issues.

    Did you do the SRI reset (Canadian only) on the selection list ?

    I did last night and all is well.

    I had not seen that but Ross-Tech told me the same thing. User error on my part in this case.

    Hmmm. I did an oil change Fri night. I reset the oil reminder in the "car" menu and then also used VAG SRI reset and did a full scan on Sat. This morning, the car told me "service due" again. Guess I'll have to retry.

    I did a delivery (I think it was) reset to reset the inspection reminder.

    I could not get the service due! to reset. Tried both the SRI resets and Instruments/Adaption and resetting that value to 0. Only setting 53 and 55 did the service due reminder go away. I did update to v14.1 and that didn't matter.

    Did you use the selection list on the Operation drop-down menu (after you clicked the "Perform SRI" button)?

    OK, bringing this back up in case some have missed it. My son and I both have 2014s and could not get VCDS to actually change the "service due". This is where VCDS is not very clear.
    After digging a bunch, my son got it figured out on his car, and I did it this morning successfully. The post above is correct, but you have to know what you are looking for.
    When you start VCDS, you will see the "reset SRI" button. When I clicked this, it immediately started running through the modules. When it finishes, it says "done, go back" as your option. When I started, I was looking for the "Operation" menu at the top, but the first time you click "reset SRI" it was not there. The second time I clicked it, it was. Then, select "Reset USA", and I used the default settings and ran it. This time, it completed the reset and told me so at the end. Then, select "done, go back." I'll check again later, but I don't think that you can see the "Operation" pulldown from the main menu screen where you first see the "reset SRI" button.
