    Audi North Orlando Review

Just wanted to share my on going experience with shopping for a 2015 Audi A4 and share my most recent interaction with Audi North Orlando. I contacted the dealer via email and Audi specialist, Slav responded. I asked for an OTD price on a 2015 A4 with specific options that I clearly stated in my correspondence with Slav. He quoted me a few differnt numbers so I again stated I wanted one OTD price for the vehicle I described. He complied and to avoid any confusion and to verify price I asked for a Manager to verify the price. Jessie the manager emailed me and verified the price. The next day I get an email saying, sorry... Slav made a mistake and quoted me the wrong price. The adjusted price was nearly $3,000 more than the highest quote. Jessie also went on to say it was below invoice, etc, etc...

All along I have been upfront and clear with my vehicle request and options selected. They somehow got confused with their pricing quotes. (No doubt due to the pricing games and dishonestly they use as part of their sales tactics.) I asked to speak to the GM and Shaun responded. He emailed me some generic response that Slav and Jessie quoted me the wrong price and were unclear and unaware of how the A4 was optioned. Again, I specified in each email exactly what I wanted.

I specified an A4, 6-spd, Premium Plus in Glacier White. The options portion isn't really that hard... (It's 4 little check marks including; Technology Package, Sport, Sport Plus Package and Bang and Olufsen.) Shaun stated they were honest people and they should have done this and that to avoid the issues. How can a senior sales associate AND a Sales Manager both quote the wrong price and then play it off? They do this EVERY day and if it was an honest mistake how come they don't know the product they sell? I don't buy it! This was all planned to get me into the dealer so they could string me along and try their sales tactics on me to get a sale. Luckily, I was persistent in getting a confirmed price quote via emal before agreeing to visit the dealer. I was coming back in town so they realized I wasn't going to be happy if they jerked me around in person. Shaun quoted me another price that was considerably higher than their "mistake" (other dealers offered me close to the same deal so nothing special). His explanation with the options being configured incorrectly just didn't add up. The car can only be built with certain options according to Audi's website and default to include bundled packages so the price increase is automatic. I can see where a mistake may be made and would be open to an adjusted price and a sign of good faith, but their attitude shouldn't be so flippant and dismissive. They are still making money on the car even with their price mistake. The lack of product training and or questionable sales tactics and poor follow-up is at best a rookie mistake and excusable for 1 person. But 2 people making the mistake and then passing blame on the fact that they were in a hurry and didn't fully read the communication is a rookie mistake at best. At the very least it should be saved for a non premium brand dealer or "Bob's used car world."

Anyone in The Orlando area stay away from Audi North Orlando. Slav, Jessie and Shaun all clearly fit the typical car salesperson stereotype displaying a low moral code and blurred ethics. This is easily one of the worst car buying experiences I've ever had. The Classic/Holler Automotive group has lost a former customer and sadly don't seem to care one way or another

Dealers play games - plain and simple.

Bait and switch, "voodoo" with the pricing, and all the while think that their customers are F'n idiots, that they know nothing, and are easily manipulated or cajoled into paying any price.

It's unfortunate that the majority of the folks in car sales have a very questionable work ethic and low moral standards. You would think that a Sales Manager would and should verify EVERY quote before agreeing to the price. Jesse agreed and then said, "Sorry it's my sales associates fault, he didn't have the the correct information." So neither of them verified the price or they are so used to playing games that they confused each other. Either way I believe it was intentional and unfortunate. I submitted a counter offer to the GM that I believe to be fair. A scripted apology and a price quote that's available at several dealers is in no way a sign of an honest dealership. Especially to a customer that's purchased from their other dealers including, Honda and Nissan.

Will do for sure. I appreciate the concern and support! I was hopping more members would comment so I could forward to the GM with some real weight behind it. I've started to post some negative reviews on the various car shopping websites. However, Audi Gwinett in GA has done an outstanding job of communicating with me. Options is a beautiful thing! Maybe I'm just not meant to own an Audi. LOL

The experience I had shopping for my BMW was for the most part pleasant. They certainly didn't play the games that Audi North Orlando engage in. A few of the dealers came back with ridiculous quotes but at least they demonstrated professionalism and didn't dilute the brand to the level of a "Buy here, pay here business."

Shaun has been in the business for a while so its sad that you weren't pleased with the experience. I too didnt buy my car there because it just didnt reach the expectations i was looking for and i work in the customer service industry. I did buy my car at Audi of Melbourne and it was flawless. Now Audi of South Orlando (Millenia) is great. I will probably buy my next car from them. Great service there.

Give it a bit more time for members to respond - weekends can be a bit slow.

It is sad... Shaun either doesn't coach his team properly on the proper protocol with customers or he is coaching them to play the shady salesmen game. Based on the other reviews I've seen I'm certain Shaun is the one responsible. I gave them numerous chances to respond in a direct manner with an OTD price. I was clear in my communication and between a former employee of the month in Slav and a Sales Manger in Jesse they couldn't come up with an accurate and honest quote? I could understand if it was a new salesman, but neither of them are. Based on the other negative reviews of Audi North Orlando, it's obvious the team is trained to behave and act in a incompetent and flippant manner.

Since you know everyone in Audi world you may have to go with me to Audi South to meet Sunil. I'll buy lunch my friend!

North Orlando Audi (Sanford, FL) is the worst dealership I’ve dealt with. They prolonged a simple ignition coil issue for six months until I was out of warranty then tried sticking me with a $900+ bill. Along with many other inconveniences such as returning my car back to with no AC over a three day weekend that they were close and etc. Long story short I fixed it myself and reported them to the better business bureau. I’ll never go back there again. FYI there is a fairly new Audi dealership owned by Auto Nation in South Orlando near the Milenia area.

Based on the reviews folks have posted on the various forums and websites it doesn't surprise me they couldn't diagnose the problem and actually broke something else. I'm also not surprised at their indifference. Shaun is a clueless GM for sure!

I guess car washing isn't beyond their talent scope.
