R8 Coolant Cap; How To Rotate?

I just got the R8 Coolant Cap and am wondering if anyone knows how to rotate it to face the proper direction?

Sitting at the computer, and feeling like actually answering your question, I believe you turn the "top" to the right, since you turn the cap left about 90 degrees to lock it.

I know the oil cap needs adjusting. But If I remember right the coolant cap will line up. Here is the oil cap adjustment. If needed. I'm sure its the same.

On the RS4 the R8 oil cap fits perfectly, no adjustment required.

The coolant cap screws down and has a single "tooth" so it always tightens down to the same position, as shown above. It does appear that the threaded part of the cap is a separate piece from the top part you see, but I'm not worried enough about the graphic facing the "wrong" way to take a chance on trying to pry it apart!

The oil cap is fine, it's the coolant as shown that's 90 degrees off in its locked position.

Look at it while standing next to the fender...won't look like it is the "wrong" way anymore.

Yeah my wrong..should of mentioned was on my old B6 that the oil cap was off. But the coolant one fit right.

The first thing that you should do is get in to see a Psychiatrist immediately. Anal retentiveness can get out of control very quickly. I wish I had that much time on my hands to worry about a cap not facing the correct direction.

Forget about the cap, look at the actually graphics on the coolant tank. That would drive me bonkers. hehe
