Will the 17" audi winter package fit our s4

Well title says it all. I have an opportunity to buy a set for $200. I know, crazy price, I just want to be sure the 17 inch a4 winter package will fit around our stock brakes.

I run 17" wheels in the winter just fine. Circumference-wise: 17" will clear. Offset-wise: no idea what the A4 Winter Package is running but I'm sure spacers can fix whatever problems you run into. Honestly, my winter wheels can be run without spacers but look really bad without them.

Maybe seller will let you test fit them if picking up locally? Just bring some spacers in case...

Low pressure cast and center bored, i think for a winter wheel they are more than decent enough.

What kind of tires / how much thread on the package being offered to you?
That seems like ridiculously low. I think I paid for one new winter tire $200

Not much lasts our winters...lol... I was told that a 17" won't clear the brake calipers. But mine's a 2014 so I can't speak for the 2010. Go try one on and see if it fits is your best bet!!!

I agree, it sounds to good to be true. I'm sure he could sell for more, but he can't be bothered.the way I see it, if they fit, I would be paying $200 for Oem audi rims and getting whatever tire is on there for free.

I'd be careful about the tires having adequate load rating for our S4 which is about 300 lbs. heavier than the A4...that's right, our S4 is a fatty.

I found quattrotires.com to be really good. It worked out to being barely more then TireRack BEFORE factoring in our sinking Canadian dollar, I would almost say they would be on par which is extremely impressive for Canada. I got a set of X-Ice Xi3's for just over $1,000 delivered to my door.

They just posted this (man I KNEW I should have waited two more weeks....)
    http://www.quattrotires.com/wp-conte...ichelin-en.pdf

    Plus they are called quattro!

Believe what you want, but like I said, I run 17" fine without any problems and about to go into the 3rd winter with them. BTW, mine is a MY2011 S4 and the 17" wheels were off of a Q5 so they are OEM Audi wheels.

I wasn't discounting your claim. I was told by several peeps that 18 was the lowest I could go. If you were able to get 17's on your ride and make it work. Hey that's awesome!! Maybe it has something to do with the offset which makes them not have clearence issues..

A few 17in wheel models might work, but far from all. My 18in Avant Garde M310s that I use for winter barely fit over the front brakes. The tire shop couldn't even mount the wheel weights where they worked the best because they would come in contact with the caliper.

I just ordered 17-7.5 for the winter to get away from the Low profile tire and have alittle cushion for dirty potholes, winter package works great from Tirerack. I also did Blizzacks!! Gonna be fun!!

All I can say is you cheap Canadian. You live in Milton so pull out your wallet and buy a decent set of rims and tires. I'm on my second S4. 17" is too small. 18" is the smallest that is what I have. Good luck.

Are you one of those guys that will pay 10 times more for something so you can brag about it? Why would I buy a winter package from Audi for $2000 when I can get a used Audi package from a Freind for $200? I don't think this is being cheap, I think this is being sensible.
By the way, the package my Freind has is in fact the 18" rims. I just wanted to know if 17's would fit just in case he was mistaken.

So does that make it a better deal now, or do I still need to spend $2000 so I'm not cheap?

Well, I have some bad news and some good news. Turns out the wheels my contact was selling me for $200 were in fact 17".
I tried them on today, and they don't fit. The offset is what really prevents them from fitting, they would hit the callipers.

Good news is I posted them on kijiji today and sold them for .........lets just say a small profit.

Here is a pic of the style of rim.

No, I think I would have needed at least 20mm, to much for my liking and could posed other problems. further, there was only an eight of an inch between to inside of the rim and the callipers, so the counter weights wouldn't even pass.
It did cross my mind, but now I'm shopping for 18" with all the extra money I just made.

Some people have luck with 17's but it is a bit of a crap shoot, some 17's will fit over the brake calipers some won't just depends how the barrel of the wheel is built and shaped and then offset is the other issue that you ran into.

I'm also in Milton and have some 18". I bought the car used earlier this May, so I don't even remember what they look like or what tires they were (put them in storage immediately). Was thinking of maybe selling them depending on how they look. I can let you know if you're interested.

The 17" OEM B8 A4 wheels with a bunch of radial spokes will fit. The wheel weights need to be towards the back of the wheel.

Whichever model this is. We ran it on ours. Snug, but no issues.

Those don't look like Oem s4 calipers, or am I mistaken? Or are you just showing a pic of a rim that will fit?

Interesting. Was always under impression advised from Audi that 17" will no clear the brakes. It'd be good to know what brand & size 17" actually fit for S4.
