i need advice as to which brand wiper blades are the best type for a 2011 a4 quattro with rain sensing wipers. It would also be helpful to suggest a retailer. I assume ecs tuning would be one such place, thanks

+1, for the Audi I'd buy them at the dealer or at least use the same type. On other cars I've had good luck with Rain-x ones, which you can definitely get at Walmart and probably any auto parts store also.

The stock ones on my 2011 are the most horrible wipers I have seen in the winter. They are too soft and when it shows, they accumulate ice and get farther and farther away from the glass. Once I had a 2" chunk of ice formed between the glass and the far end of the passenger side wiper just after 20min of driving in a snow storm.
I use Bosch Aerotwins (from Amazon) in the winter and the stock wipers the rest of the year because they are still in a good shape.
I hope they have changed the stock wipers since 2011. There are threads on how bad these wipers are if you search.
