Reverse lights stay on the whole time I'm driving

So i had multiple drivers at stop lights and what not keep telling that my reverse lights are staying on when I'm going forward.. what can be the issue? I'm guessing there is a switch somewhere that is defective. Anyone have this issue before and is there an easy fix??

your rear fog lights maybe? when you turn the light selector dial to turn on your lights, are you also pulling it out?

    Unplug the light bulbs. =D

Are they also on when the car is in neutral/park?

Your likely culprit is the switch which is located on the top of the transmission. it is a threaded switch/solenoid unit which is an absolute PITA to get to and replace. It's not expensive but the required contortions to reach it relegate this simple problem to a major pita.
Easy temporary fix is to reach into your drivers side fuse box and pull out the fuse out of its plug. I think it is #15 fuse but check to make sure as B7 may be different than B6.
it relays the reverse lights but also your mirror reverse mode ( option that enables your passenger mirror to tilt downward when in reverse.)
that will keep unhappy people behind you from being blinded by the reverse lights.

BTW if it is the rear drivers side fog, then I doubt you would get that much response as that is not that bright in daylight.

The fuse is faster and easier and the reverse lights would be on as long as ignition is on.
