    Guys,

Just picked up an 03 RS6 and want to change out the fluid. What do you all recommend?

    Thanks,
    Paul

I will admit I am partial to Amsoil. I run it in all of my cars and motorcycles for all the fluids.

I use ATE Super Blue brake fluid. it is DOT4, high boiling point, relatively easy to find and reasonably priced, but the best thing is you know when you are completely bled as your new fluid will come out blue. It makes it pretty easy. I think ATE also has the same fluid without the dye - it was made for alternating colors between races basically. And it makes the fluid level A LOT easier to see in the audi - for some reason you cant see the regular stuff in the A6 reservoir.

    Sounds good.

How much fluid do you guys think i'll need to bleed the entire brake system?

    Thanks,
    Paul

i believe ATE only comes in the liter cans. one liter might do, but I usually purchase mine in pairs.

I just got done flushing out my whole system, only took .75L
I use whatever brand DOT4 the local parts store has though, it's good enough for what I do.

those front rs6 calipers may take more fluid since its going to be pushing 6 pistons in total and on both sides of the rotor. i know my rotora 6 piston calipers on my 350z take a lot of fluid. should be safe with 1 liter. but like i said, i usually get them in pairs. better safe then sorry

I used ATE Typ 200. Only needed 1 liter.
