Hi everyone, long time listener, first time caller... hoping you can help me out before I pull the trigger.
I'm about to custom order a new 2015 since I want something very specific in my new S4. I plan to keep it several years, though if they release the technology package in the S6 in 2016 or 17 S4 I'd be highly tempted to trade-in. I just liked the driving experience in the S4 better and wanted a smaller car.
I'm working with a broker which was referred by a friend and professional financial adviser I trust and have worked with for many years. The broker screwed up a few times not getting back to us so he offered to wave his fee so we didn't speak ill of him. So in theory this should be a great deal. His approach? He apparently works with the commercial sales group within the dealers in the area and spoke with all 14 or so dealers in the Washington state vicinity.
I was honestly expecting a lower price, but I wasn't really sure what's possible. I plan to bounce this off the two local dealers I test drove with to give them a shot at my business since I took their time while making my decision. Here's the spec...
2015 S4 w/ S-Tronic
Prestige Package
Daytona Grey Perl Effect Paint
High Gloss Black Trim
Driver Assist
Sport Diff
Active Dampening - Went back and forth on this, decided I liked to actually feel the change when switching modes.
Nappa Leather (Black/Magma Red)
Rear Side Airbags
Carbon Atlas Inlays
Audi Guard Protection Kit
Supercharged Badges
Audi Care
Msrp. $65,865
Audi care. $860
List Grand Total: $66,725
Discount. -$2,400
New Owner Acquisition -$1,000 (I've got a 2013 Lexus RX350, but don't plan to trade-in necessarily.)
Offer $63,325
Offer + Tax (8.9%) $69,263
Is this a good deal, or do you think I can negotiate better. The broker has no horse in this race (having waved his fee) so he doesn't care if I shop it around.
Thanks!
[Edit: Sorry, accidentally cut and pasted Premium Plus when this was definitely Prestige. Fixed above in my original post.]
