fsi coil packs for the bel valve cover

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So i have a bel engine im building and swapping out for my apb. I have the stock set of coils but found the fsi coils are much stronger.
Does anyone know the part number for the fsi coils that are the shorter version to fit the bel valve covers.

Short coils are from 1.8t , they not strong as FSI long coils , most 1.8 guys upgreating to fsi coils , and using toureg coil adapters , most powerfull coils red coils 06E 905 115 E out Audi r8 or vw toureg , with toureg adapters they fit perfect in 2.7 , dont waste your $$$ on any other coils then red coils , i work for vw dealer where is APR product is of the shelf , after flashing ECM on 2.0 fsi cars they come back with in 1000 k , with misfires , we reinstallining red r8 coils , so any costumer that getting APR product we recomend an r8 coils , so spend money ones get right parts

you could just swap valve covers to make it easy.

For what it is worth, my AWM 1.8t didn't use bolt down coils. When I switched to the red top FSI coils, I just took the rubbers off the stock coils and put them on the FSI coils. They fit snuggly. It looks like that BEL valve cover would be the same deal. No need to waste money on coil adapters. Sure, they stick out a bit more than stock coils, but I haven't had a single issue since I swapped the rubbers around. Not a great pic of what is going on, but you get the idea.

I think with BEL covers you my get away with using adapters , try local dealer talk to thim get one short one from 1.8t and long one from r8 see how they fit , after wise just return thim ,
