haha, this is why im waiting to install them till spring. I dont have a set of wheels that will clear them unless i steal the peelers off my b6. Need to buy a new set for the b8.

Oh yes I did!!!! Currently deciding on color and rotor style. I just hit 50k after a nice trip to Vermont going to the slopes and I would give my stock brakes another month or two max. However I will have my stock front painted calipers for sale later on if you're interested!

I am wondering whether the oem RS5 6 pot front brake caliper fits my apr stage 1 tuned 2010 A4 B8 2.0T Quattro without modification. Because I am running 19 inch wheels, the stock brake caliper (the single piston one) and stock 320mm slotted brake disc with EBC yellow stuff pad but the braking efficiency is not that great :( and looking for brake upgrade and replacement

Since you have APR Stage 1, they won't fit.

Blue calipers on blue car? ...Thinking I'll test the color on some S4 brakes I just picked up, to see if that's what I'll powdercoat the Q5 Brembo calipers later. I picked up the S4 caliper carriers and 345mm rotors as a stepping stone till I find a good deal on Q5 Brembo calipers. Figured it wasn't too much a waste since I'll be able to reuse the rotors when I upgrade again.

If it doesn't look good, I'll prob do silver on the Q5 calipers with black Brembo logo. I can sell the S4 calipers later to someone with a white or silver car.

Bought the ecs stage 2 kit a few weeks ago but have been lazy to post any photos.

Originally bought the cross drilled and slotted rotors but after some posters saying they wish they got the wave rotors i was lucky to upgrade my order before it shipped.

Got the calipers back this morning, painted them the Kawasaki green colour. Hoping its not too bright once installed but im thinking it should go nicely with Daytona Grey.

I also successfully did the Q5 Brembo BBK upgrade. For pads I put in the daily driver Brembo pads. Have only had them for about 2K miles and everything had been fine until I took the car to an auto-cross. Unfortunately came ill-prepared and kept the street pads on.

Now on panic stops I feel that the caliper has even pressure to about halfway down then dramatically steps down to the floor and jolts the car. I've checked the pads and rotors and seems like they wore evenly. In addition there is a high-pitched squeal at the end of braking intermittently.

I'm considering replacing the pads for a more aggressive one. I understand that these calipers can take pad shape of the 05 STI rotors. What have others been running for pad choices? I've had great luck with Carbotech's for the track in past cars, but probably too much for a daily driver.

Really wish ecs would make the rotors either drilled or slotted, not both. Something about it being both bothers me. (that's me being nit picky I guess)

Their two piece ones yeah.. I actually asked then the other day.. to make them slotted only... If not Girodisc is probably the best option down the line... Very high quality 2 piece units that will bolt right up.

These are brembo Q5 Calipers. They come in two flavors. One set fits a 320mm rotor and the other fits a 345 rotor. The set is have is for 320 rotors.

Powerdercoated!...Color hard to say.. my friend that owns the coating company came up with something special .. I can say it's like a medium blue or maritime blue. clear over the decal... Though he is now doing the Brembo insignia in powdercoat now!..

You guys who powdercoated the calipers, what was cost? Im hoping to pick some up with some S4 rear calipers and powdercoat them at the same time and wanted to get an idea on what the ballpark price would be.

Price depends on location and some other factors. I know spots who would just powder them as is and some other spots who take the calipers completely apart. Of course there is labor in breaking them down, but if you are handy you could do it yourself like I and I am sure other have done. I got a set of calipers, broke them down myself and gave to ESPOs Powered (Statin Island, NY) coating, I think he charged me $200 at most and I never had an issue with them.

Brembo 345mm Q5 Calipers

Brembo UV Coated Front Disks

Brembo Sport HP2000 Front Pads

Brembo UV Coated Rear Disks

Brembo Rear Pads - Brembo don't do a performance rear pad for the S4 currently, so this is a standard compound).

Goodridge SS Brake Lines

Part numbers and pics removed - I did explain why they are the way they are, and people clearly have to have a moan about it, so I've removed them to ensure your continuing pleasure.

A first-class painting job done by Brake Caliper Specialists here in the UK - they also did the logo. Don't be hating on that, I'd have had "S4" if they did it, but it wasnt available, BCS had 'RS' though, and I figured that's what my RS5 calipers would have looked like anyway if I had fitted them...

RS5 calipers are completely different. Should have put a Q5 logo on these.
