    Relocating the diverter valve

Hi All. I want to move my diverter valve down lower closer to the inter cooler piping instead of the TIP so its easier to service. I have rhino ramps so it would be easier for me to just have it a bit lower. What I need to figure out is what size hose I need and I will also need an elbow piece so I would need to know what size diameter elbow to get also. I plan to have the diverter valve closer to the T fitting and the elbow piece would go in the TIP. Then all I need is some straight silicone hose to connect the elbow to the diverter. Any info would be awesome.

Mine is mounted in the TIP and a hose is connecting it to the T fitting on the IC piping.

This sounds about right when I did my customer front mount. Hose ID is about 1" and for any joints the OD needs to be 1". I would pop it out, or take your stock one, and go to a hardware store and confirm. I used radiator hose.

Why don't you move it above your intake pipe so can service it even easier?

cause I have a diverter valve..not a blow off valve. As much as I would love to hear that woosh sound even louder I'm not willing to drop any cash on a bov just yet.

I'm running a Forge splitter. Still a diverter valve. Only vents a portion of the recirculated air.

You can run a standard diverted valve the exact same way.

I'm just throwing the option out there.

The splitters vent metered air to the atmosphere, creating a same boost leak, so technically it is (partly) a BOV. It appears the TIP cannot be rotated with the stock airbox.

The DV is usually moved to be as close as possible to the throttle body. The reason for this is to minimize the delay recirculating boost pressure back up at the closed throttle valve during gear shifts. Another benifit is by recirculating cooled charge air that has passed through the intercooler, so the recirculated charge air released to the compressor inlet is cooled from the intercooler, instead of recirculating hot pre intercooler air into the compressor inlet.
