did a fair bit of searching and haven't found a definitive answer.

i have a bel laying around, it has push down coils, can i use them on my apb so i dont need coil adapters (i plan on doing the 2.0 conversion)

some say yes some say the bel coils are longer than the 2.0 coils meaning i would still need an adapter.
also are the bel coils any different from the 2.0s if they are the same i would just use them anyway.

Pretty sure the BEL push down coils are the short version like 1.8T coils.

    X2

I was planning on doing this myself but then I found out about that. Iirc, I found a thread where someone with an apb allroad did an icm delete using the normal coils then put on bel valve covers and the coils were way too long. In the same thread he had the part number for the shorter coils.

Yes, BEL coils are shorter. This fits with the BEL valve cover: http://www.finjector.com/verkkokaupp...e-p-101179-42/

I have an 04 bel. I did the conversion. 2.0 coils are longer but will still work and fit. They just stick up a little higher. Main issue is that the weather seal is not made and it is possible for debris to fall or collect beside the stem near the top of the plug. I learned this first hand when I had a coolant leak and it dripped down there. It shorted the coil and caused a misfire.

Stick with the APB VC + either Hitachi coils or get adapter plates from ECS/034/etc and use the TFSI coils then.
