    Identify Knock Sensor Location

Looking at buying a B6 S4 with one fault found when when you scan it with Vag-Com. When the code is cleared the car pulls hard, but the code comes back shortly after it's cleared. The code is as follows.

    1 Fault Found:
    16711 - Knock Sensor 1 (G61)
    P0327 - 002 - Signal too Low

Now it's easy enough to assume that you replace the knock sensor, but i've also been told the it's possible the intake manifold can pinch the cable if it's been removed before. Regardless of that, i've had a hard time identifying which knock sensor to replace. Is there anyone that could help identify each of the knock sensors so I know which one to order? I've searched high and low and have been unable to find any diagram that's actually worth anything. Again thanks for the help!

Knock Sensor 1 (G61) and Knock Sensor 2 (G66) are for bank 1 (cylinders 1-4, passenger side). The connectors are in front of the engine under the "V8 4.2" shroud; there's a black and blue connector for both the right side and the left side (four knock sensors total).

I'd disconnect one at a time and ensure you see on your vagcom "Knock Sensor 1 - Open or Short Circuit" to be absolutely sure.

    Right side sensors are:
    Black 079905376C right rear 345mm
    Blue 079905377G right front 185mm

Given the lengths, it *should* be blue.

Great thank you for the quick response! I'll give this a shot.

Any resolution on this? I have the exact same problem currently on my 04' s4. It previously had an Injector Cylinder 2 (N31): Circuit Malfunction P0202 No Signal/Communication - Intermittent, but I swapped the injector on that cylinder to #1 and now I'm getting the P0327 code for some reason.
