I have a mint set if Bentley wheels that I need to have tires mounted on. They're 19x9 w/ Michelin PS3's 255/35/19. I'm located in Nassau County, LI, and am looking for a reputable high end wheel shop to mount these tires, the wheels are mint and I don't trust the place I'd normally go. Thanks in advance.

I know of a great place in NJ if you are ever out this way: Robbie's Auto Body. They mounted tires to a set of brand new wheels I bought and there wasn't a scratch on any of the wheels. I highly recommend.

Unfortunately that's a little far for me, thanks though. Anyone else?

Any shop that has the machine (Hunter) where they don't touch the wheel/tire other than with their hands would do. Places like Mavis don't. I use Mavis for my VMR wheels (because I really don't care for them and are my winter setup wheels), but use my mechanic and his Hunter Auto 34 machine for my SSR wheels. With my encounters at Mavis they use a pry bar on my VMRs. My mechanic let's the machine do all the work and refuses to touch the wheels with a pry bar.

Where is your mechanic located? I was ready to go to Mavis until you mentioned that pry bar lol

West Haverstraw, NY. Kind of a hike for you. Just call around to local Euro Shops and ask what machine they use for mounting and balancing. Most Euro shops that deal with higher end vehicles will use a mounting machine that does not require the use of a pry bar. Elite should have the same (call them an inquire).

After looking on Elite's website, no way they would not have top of the line equipment. If not, they need to re-assess their decision making when it comes to particular investments (which I highly doubt).

Edge? Sergey's the man, does great work, but yeah that's a hike for tire mounting. I had Edge do my control arms and build my exhaust.

Yep, Sergey. I work on my own car, but still is always a good thing to have a mechanic. He does stuff I can't/won't and I always recommend people to him. Cool peoples at that .

I only use Intrack Tires in Queens, NY, wouldn't trust anyone else. I'd also consider Espo's Powder Coating in Staten Island, NY for tire mounting.

I was there at Intrack Tires over the weekend. They installed my new tires on my custom Niche 3 Piece Rims....top notch work and they let you stand over them while they work.
