thats pretty sick. it just wires up to the stock wiring with no issues?

will look into this, but first order of business is to get some window tint. black leather and the SC sun do not go well together.

Installed my meth injection kit from AEM and used my fog light switch as the trigger. Fog lights on is now "kill mode" lol

What did you do to/with your S4 today?

No such thing as a “quick” wash. Typically 3 hours and 3(ish) beers’ time

See previous page for my process. Not sure what a regular household steamer looks like but while I'm sure any steamer would work, I used the Wagner steam cleaner: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=steam+cle...s_ts-doa-p_2_8

This thread has just about everything you need for the install process. I used the mdf spacer instead of rope caulk. Also, I had to trim some of the rear deck cover as it touched the sub. Not a big deal, the speaker grill covers all of that.

That poster used an old sub that is no longer avail. The sub I used and linked is comparable and sounds great. I snipped the factory connector that went to the factory sub and ran the bare wire to the terminals

Installed CTS Turbos’s test pipes & downpipes. Now I know what the 3k trombone noise is about! No rasp at a cruising speed though so I’m happy for the time being…

Swapped the buttons, trim, steering wheel from the stock S4 wheel to the C7 wheel with the perforated leather. It’s a much better feeling wheel.

I bought it years ago for my RS thinking I could eventually figure out the airbag, and not minding the steering wheel controls not working. I bought it local for a damn steal. With airbag I’m 90% sure I paid under $250.

Life has taught me never try to make something idiot proof, they'll simply come up with a better idiot.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.
I have neither the time, nor the crayons to explain this to you properly.

can i have it? Also, what model wheels are those? and how much is it, and what's the spec?

I spent almost 13k+ (labor, parts, etc.) on fixing my car at 90k miles. I figure it's cheaper than buying a new one, besides I don't like anything I see these days (BMW M4's battery costs $4k lithium - fact of the day). Also, I like this car. If I didn't crash my Evo 8, I'd still have that car.

I got my coolant system completely replaced, after having some shop in MD did terrible things to it.

Finally got my ECS Coilover installed - got it for like $300 on promo - they're alright. I went to Europe for six months, came back and it's $800 now. 0.7" drop is perfect. I already ordered KW V3.

Finally got to clean my exhaust pipe in 5 years. I bought a house, so I had a place to do that now (ibf market crash).

    Finally rotated my tires.

Finally got my IE ECU Stage 2 Single Pulley 93 oct tune.

Finally got my IE TCU tune.

Finally got a good IE Intake and took off my unsupported CTS intake (which is actually pretty awesome, since it's so thick - sounds better too I think - it's for sale with $70 K&N filter).

Finally spent the money to replace my complete front suspension - Meyle HD full kit. At 90k, bushings were a mess.

Finally is going to do a proper detailing of the car this weekend.

    With all this:

I was finally spin all four tires launching and scared the shit out of my wife - she said she loved it.

I was finally able to unfold the passenger OEM rubber matt down all the time, which is now annoying.

I was able to do the banana test and pass it.

I was able to rip my wife's phone case out of her phone on a launch.

I was also able to keep up with a bolt-on Z06 today. Well, for a bit. But he didn't leave me that bad (two car lengths) - he said he's running about 800whp.

Today, I finally got to really enjoy my car a bit and enjoy myself!

    I love my little car.

That’s a whole lot of work but sounds like an much enjoyed end product. With my old S4 I was able to beat, from a roll, two C6 corvettes and a CTS-V. All three seemed pretty surprised as was I lol

I raced a tuned and modded Z06. I kept up with it for a while on regular traffic - I could haven't done that before without both of my tune. Then we took off from the stop, and I beat it! For like 2 seconds. Then it murdered me.

Pull up to the guy and he is running 800whp. But the thing is, I loved it.

Those stickers are a joke. Got a set and they weren't even the right size. Left a slim area around the plate that was not even covered.

Upgraded to a 196.5mm crank pulley this weekend and added a new serpentine belt, new accessory tensioner, and used my custom cut partially threaded crank pulley bolts. I saw a lot of peeps saying the possibility to shear crank pulley bolts was higher on manual trans so I got some partially threaded bolts and cut them to OEM length in hopes that the shank of the bolt really holds true and doesnt fail like some threaded bolts ive seen. Ive got a extra set if anyones interested, they only sell the full length bolts in packs of 25 lol

New water pump, tensioner and serp belt went in. While it was apart it was time to take my Merc HX off the shelf and put it in too.

Got rid of the weird sparkly “quattro” dash badge and covered a crack in my CF trim. For the picky folks out there, full disclosure- yes, this trim piece is curved, so no, this Amazon badge does not sit entirely flush. Still happy with the results, and could probably hit it with a heat gun to get it flush if it bothers me.

Love the interior lights in our Q7 so I decided to replicate it. Wrapped the dome light cover piano black and removed the 2 bulbs so now only the round map lights light up. It's just the right amount of light now with the deAutoLED kit and not blinding anymore, I think it looks great.

What did you do to/with your S4 today?

Finally got around to installing the OEM+ big brake kit!

Upgrade consists of b9 rs5 akebono 6piston calipers, b9 rs5 drilled rotors and the necessary brackets.

    Benefits:
6 piston fixed caliper vs the stock sliding single piston. ( heat generated is more evenly distributed).

Rs5 Brake pads have about 18% more surface area than the stock s4 pad.

Rotor size increases dramatically! This is the biggest benefit by far. These are properly sized Motorsport rotors that have proper cooling (Audi uses the same rotor for both sides on the s4, this means the right rotor vanes are pumping air in the wrong direction).

    B8 s4 rotor 345x30mm weight 24lbs
    B9 rs5 rotor 375x36mm weight 28.2lbs

    Caliper weight
    B8 s4 18.2 lbs
    B9 rs5 16.2lbs

Total weight gained for each side is roughly 2lbs which is minimal considering the massive Improvements gained in braking force and thermal capacity.

There are few 18” wheels that will work with the setup thus keeping tire cost down.
Anything with a 420mm inner barrel should work but I would confirm with the wheel manufacturer.

    Cons:
Brake shields must be removed(as a precaution heat wrap should be used on the sensors).
You have to remove the caliper to change out pads.

I went ahead and added 034 stainless brake lines, Motul 600 fluid, macan air ducts and cutout the air fence in front of the wheels.

This setup should a massive increase in thermal capacity for track use along with minimal weight gain.

Love how it looks, yes I know I need to paint the rears to match.

Are you running 18s yourself? Love the idea of a proper BBK but tire costs for 19s are keeping me humble and looking other options
