How to remove the privacy trunk cover?

How the hell do I dislodge and remove this thing? I think mine is jammed on or I just have no idea how to get this thing off. Gotta put a recliner box in the back and I know I have to get this thing out of the way.

Anyone have this happen? I've never removed this thing, had it there since I got the car in march.

when looking in from the back of the car, on the right there should be a little squeez button that you push and lift up that side, then pull it out.

Does it require a lot of strength? Or should it be easy? I'm about to take a damn mallet to this thing.

I can do the one in my avant with one thumb, sounds like yours may be jacked up.
