Does Milltek Exhaust come with DP's

This might be a dumb question but was asked this by an installer and didn't know the answer. Does the Milltek exhaust come with downpipes as well or is it just the catback? I guess catback would be with downpipes as well on this car no?

Typically the "cat back" is everything behind the catalytic converter(s) so down pipe would not be included. A quick search of "forced induction exhaust" on google images will so you a diagram of the components if you are a visual person.

That said, I believe milltek has on a catback or catback with straight pipe (resonator deletes)...

S4 or any forced induction cars has the follow: Headers then downpipes then catback, the S4 has the secondary cats between the downpipes and headers.

a catback would be anything after the downpipes till the tips
full exhaust would be from downpipes till tips
milltek offer full exhaust with too option res or not res rear mufflers (AWE res ot non res downpipes)

So yes, Milltek has downpipes

I understand the concept, but for our cars where the cat sits right behind the headers I was a bit confused as AWE sells DP's and a catback, where the other systems are all Cat Backs but I believe the AWE system's downpipes start after the cat making it technically cat back as well.

So in conclusion, if I were to buy the Milltek exhaust it is the same as buying the awe exhaust and the downpipes correct?

We sell both brands and what you have stated above is correct! Buying the AWE exhaust along with the downpipes is the same as the Milltek exhaust.
