    Front Crash bar shape ?

I was just installing my intake today and took everything apart and wanted to get some measurements for building my own CPS and i noticed my crash bar looks bent at the top of it on both sides. It looks like its suppso to be that way but not sure here is a pic of the one side. Anyone who's done an intake or a grill have to notice that your crash bar is bent as well?

Yeah I had the same OMG feeling when I first pulled my bumper cover and saw it like that. Service manager at the local Audi dealership confirmed that they all come like that. Don't know why.

They designed it unbent (the way it was on older audis, my 2008 s6 was unbent) then when the new crash tests came out they needed to improve offset and angled performance so the crushed the sides as a way to improve performance (strength) without redesigning or retooling

^^^This. Bent metal is more rigid and less flexible. The crimps make the crashbar stronger.
