Thumbs up Vibrant muffler + additional muffler or vibrant resonator?

    Howdy,
So comp 5456, 3" catless 034 downpipe, into 3" back obviously...
I understand this may be a somewhat repetitive question and i've read a mazillion exhaust threads already, but they're all quite unique and i'd rather get it right the first time. I've never heard a 1.8t in person that i've liked. Don't wanna make their mistake!

I bought a Vibrant 1047 muffler and I definitely not wanting just that. I would prefer silence while also running straight through. I know that's not actually possible I'm not one for loud exhaust.
So that leaves adding an additional muffler and or resonator. Pretty stupid simple question, but would it be even close to quiet with the 1047 and adding a 1107

They are practically the same size. Should I also add a 'Ultra quiet resonator'? I had a vibrant 1046 and vibrant 15" resonator on my Subaru and it wasn't all that great. I don't really think the resonator did anything.

Would all 3 be over kill?

    1047:
    Inlet Diameter: 3"
Muffler Size: 5" x 9" Oval Muffler Body, 15" Long
    Overall Length: 23" (including tips)
    Tips Length: 8"

    1107:
    Inlet Diameter: 3"
    Outlet Diameter: 3"
Muffler Size: 5" x 9" Oval Muffler Body, 15" Long
    Overall Length: 20"

    Resonator:
    Inlet Diameter: 3"
    Outlet Diameter: 3"
    Resonator Size: 4.5" x 6.75" Oval Body, 10" Long
    Overall Length: 14"

Additionally i'm sticking with vibrant no matter what at this point, so i'm not gonna get milltek or anything like that. I'm gonna live with my 1047 purchase even if it's loud, just hoping for some input. Youtube exhaust videos are about the stupidest thing ever and 82% are on 2.8's, so they're no help. I guess they have nothing better to do ;)

    Thanks! :)

I could definitely handle it being loud if it sounded like this... :)

I am running 2.5 piping to a 3" straight through 12" resonator to a Vibrant 1148. The exhaust isn't super loud. There was a ton of drone but Dynamatting the truck removed virtually all drone. Exhaust noise itself shouldn't be killer loud with a resonator and vibrant muffler. In fact it's just right while maintaining straight thru design

The ultra quiet resonator will help, but I recommend two mufflers with a resonator. The vibrant mufflers are quite loud. I regret mine. I wished I went magnaflow.

Poopie, would you suggest in addition to the 1047 I get a MagnaFlow or possibly something that isn't exactly straight thru? I want to use the 1047 because I like the way it looks and I hate returning things ;) Do you have two vibrant mufflers and a vibrant resonator? Links to videos possibly?

I original had a vibrant street series rear muffler, vibrant ultra quiet res and it was loud. I added a magnaflow 16in long straight muffler and this is what it sounds like at idle. I have the IE cva 1 cams.
