    Dropped valve stem in tire.

So I bought some wheels with loose mounted tires and I dropped the valve stem in the last wheel. Should I take it to a tire shop and have it taken out or will I be good just to throw another one on and leave it in.

Personally I'd just leave it alone, after working in a tire shop for years the amount of garbage left inside tires after poor repairs and the like the small weight of a valve stem is nothing.

I'd leave it to just wait till you run over something and get it patched then grab it out

Honestly, it's probably not a huge deal. BUT if the bead is already broken, it would take a tire shop maybe 2 mins to take it out and mount it back up. If you come in near closing time and they're not busy, they'll probably do it for free.

Thanks fellas. Just the outside beads were broken, I believe he just grabbed his TPMS's out. If they were both broken I could probably grab it though. I'll just throw another on haha.

Just push the bead down and get it out. Not a big deal. Just squash it down and throw something in between to keep it wedged open. Maybe a wooden door stop or something. Then tilt the thing around until it falls out or you can grab it. Done.

This may not be a feasible option if the tires have a low aspect ratio. even on my 225/45/17's, I don't think this is any way to get the bead to bend enough to get a hand in there.

While I agree it probably isn't a big deal, just do the right thing and get it out. Not to mention you will have to dismount at least half the tire to get another stem in there. If you can squeeze another stem in there without half dismounting the tire, you'll be able to get the other stem out at the same time.
