You have the extra body cladding but unsure how much more actual clearance you have for offset? Standard body cars the body edge is pretty flush without too much of a fender to roll flatter.

Standard 6 with a 10" wheel, 40-45 is run on other cars. You'd probably need to cut overhang of the All Road cladding to get the best fitment.

Thats right, I do have some cladding and room for more. I see others in this thread are running 10/10,5" with ET37-42. (Especially thinking of @nthusiastt post )

Was thinking more in the region of 245/40-10 with 10x20" not to rub, and since I need to chicken out on perfect fitment due to this being a daily, I need to compromise and avoud cutting / trimming.

I picked up a set of theese Momo wheels in 20x10.5 45 Et. With deep concave option. hoping i can get away with 8mm spacers so they dont poke too much.

Car is 2013 a6 with eibach springs and blistein shocks.

i went with 265/35 20 Falken tires. curious to see how stretched they look. the tire called for 10.5 rim max.

Above is a general idea of what your stretch will look like. Of course tire brand will effect stretch being some brands can tend to run wide or narrow or can also have different sidewall construction. I could be wrong, but I think I've heard of A/S6's going to low 30's before encountering problems/needing to run aggressive stretch to avoid rub, so your effective ET of 45-8 = 37 should be a good classic aggressive yet safe fitment. That is unless you drive at full weight all the time and take corners like a madman... Post pics when they're mounted!

I don't think the 35 sidewall will stretch much on a 10.5, Falkens aren't too broad on the shoulders.

im hoping the 35 wont be as stretched, we will see soon. i will mount for fitment either this week or next week but its winter so wont get them on till march

Viet is right, I didn't realize above but I accidentally linked a pic of 265/30 stretch on a 10.5, so being you are running a 35 profile, it will probably be a very minimal stretch and not very noticeable.

Got some R8 Performance reps for my S6 with some decent concavity.. look pretty good, especially when moving.

Daily Driving: 35 winter / 38 summer.

I run 275/35 series in winter. 265/30/21 in summer

Momo barletta wheels in 20x10.5 ET 45. 265/35 falken fk510 tires.

12mm spacers in front, 5mm in rear( lowest that would fit but switching to 12s to look beter and closer to fronts)

I ran 285/30's on some 21's I had back in the day and I chewed up my driver side fender pretty bad coming down a steep driveway... Granted I don't know your exact offsets or suspension setup (I was pretty low at the time), but when you do go with 285's please do be careful

I'll be needing a new set of summer tires and I've been thinking about going from a 255/35/20 to a 265/35/20 or maybe a 255/40/20.
I have a 2016 A6 TDI Prestige S line so its factory lowered a little.
I do not want rubbing.

Its on RS5 20/9 et26 factory rims.

Thoughts..pictures.

i think the 265s will give you what you want. they are wider. and only slightly taller. the 255 40 will not be any wider and only taller. and
even taller then the 265/35/20

Seems the MICHELIN PILOT SPORT 4S is the benchmark but pricey.
Pirelli P Zero (PZ4) good and has better wet performance..being near the Sierras weather can change quick.
ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus is the favorite all season..sure wish Tire Rack would test the best summers against the best all seasons..might not be such a big difference.

You can't go wrong with either PILOT SPORT 4S or DWS 06 they're both great tires.
