I’m at 90/75 with about 1” clearance all the way around. I have the bilstein b8’s and it’s slightly bouncy at this height. 75/60 was almost perfect but a little too low for my local roads

Has anyone had their Endo-Ct fail on them yet? Mine was good for 1.5 years and finally got the "compressor freeze" message. I'm wondering if anyone has connected a regular viair compressor to an endo tank

Did you winterize your system at all? Not sure if you can with the CT as I have the standard compressor and tank separate, but cover it with a blanket for a while while the car is running. Turn the compressor off in your settings then enable it in 5/10 minutes or so. Happened to me with my compressor last winter but it’s just cold.

Never posted in here, but I’ve been bagged for 2.5 years now and loving it. Drive height is 75/62 with ALP rear struts. I have it a touch firmer with dampening, but that’s NY for ya. Wheel setup is 19x8.5 +35 running the 17.5mm flush kit from ECS both front and rear with a 235/35/19 tire. image.jpg IMG_5023.jpg

I have middle setting set at 75psi all around and lowest on the smooth roads 65psi front, 60psi rear

Added a second tank to the set up for a little more capacity, I’m thinking about replacing the 2.5 gal with a 4 gal seamless and re-running the lines for a cleaner look

Wrapped my install up on my B8.5 allroad. Had a fabricator friend make me a custom bracket to mount everything. Running Airlift 3P, dual 444c comps & a Seamless 4 Gal tank with 45° ports.

Wondering what tire sizes you guys are running with your air set up. Installing my 3P and i have 255/35/19 on a 19x8.5 wheel.. Wondering if its to “tall” of a tire and its gonna rub. Not allowing me to go lower. Or am i fine.. Thanks

I currently run a 19x9.5 with 275/35/19 at 75psi in each bag and don’t have any rubbing or anything, actually still have quite a bit of room left. I’ve used a 20x10 with 305/30/20 before and that rubbed at 70psi but was good to go at 80.

    Hello!

I hope someone could help answer my questions. Pretty new at this so...bare with me.

I have a 2015 b8.5 s4. I'm thinking about bagging my car with the Air lift 3P. I looked through all the pages to find the setup I need but I don't think it was mentioned here since most of the postings were about the allroad. Not sure if the wheel well is the same as mine.

I want to save my trunk space bc I golf(I carpool with a friend so 2 bags are in the trunk) and ski/snowboard so I need the trunk space. I read on the s4 pg, that someone mentioned I can install the compressors x2 (444c) and the management in the side pocket of the trunk with the tanks in the spare tire well; 2, 2.5 gallon tanks. Is it possible to fit 2, 2.5g tanks in there? If not what size tank can I fit in there?

What other parts do I need for installation besides, the compressors x2, tanks x2, 3P management, Front/Rear Bags, 1/4" lines, push to connect ports, and the compressor harnesses. Do I need an air compressor isolation kit?

Also I'll be ordering new wheels, AG M580R 20x10. What's the best tire size and offset? I've been reading that 20x10 +40 or +35 is good and getting 245/30/20 for tires. Looking minimal rubbing, hopefully no fender rolling and being able to do a full turn. I'm looking to get a flush look at ride height, (rim/fender)

    Thanks!

I fit (2) 444c compressors, (2) tanks-4 and 1 gallon tanks, isolators for both, and the management in the spare tire area. It’s a tight fit but works perfectly. Isolators aren’t necessary but quiet it down. If you use seamless tanks you’ll need some extra fittings, I needed to resize from 1/4 to 3/8. I wasn’t able to fit anything bigger than a 1 gallon tank with the 4 gallon filling the rear most trunk area. To my knowledge the spare tire area is the same size for all b8 models?

Is 4 gallons enough? Or would it better to have a total of 5.

4 is good enough. I have the extra tank mainly for accessories but it hooks up perfect with the 4 gallon

Would I need to use a seamless tank or can I use a 4 gallon end port tank to fit in the wheel well?

Do you also have the measurements for the tank you have?

Is it the same size as this one:

I’m pretty sure the seamless is the only 4 gallon that will fit and yes that’s the one I have.

Oh really? I was just comparing that seamless tank to the 4g end port tank on that site and the measurements are almost the same...only difference is the height...

Seamless- Length: 32.00" Diameter: 6.625" Height: 7.50" (with brackets)
Air Lift Aluminum 4 Gallon Face Port Air Tank- Length: 30.00" Height: 7.50" Diameter: 6.00"
Air Lift Aluminum 4 Gallon End Port Air Tank- Length: 30.00" Height: 7.50" Diameter: 6.00"

Maybe its bc of the stands under the tank that makes it not fit? Does anyone have any input on this? Have you used a face/end port in the wheel well?

Also has anyone had any experience with Slammedenuff? Their Slammedenuff airstruts? Might get a full kit from them instead of Air Lift Performance.

The face ports may not work because of space but the end ports on that tank should fit. I’ll measure my set up when I get home.

No experience with slammedenuff but I wouldn’t use anything else after the beating I’ve given my air lift bags and they’re still solid

I’m not sure if Seamless adjusted their products or tanks capacity. But the one I have is 24” long and was listed as 4 gallons. That exact size tank is now listed as a 3 gallon tank. I assume mine was originally mis-labeled, but that size fits perfect and the capacity, assuming it’s actually 3 gallons, still works perfect for this platform. Based on my measurements, anything longer than 27-28” won’t fit in the spare tire area with connections.

I wanted to share my experience with obtaining additional ride height on my Allroad. I ran the 20” RS5 wheels w/ 275's in which the size prevented the car from a full air out. When running the Airlift calibration the system could not calibrate due to the limited rear travel. Between resting on the wheels and the max height of the double bellow I was obtaining the following max height.

The standard spacers on the Airlift double bellow bags are 1.5”. I then had a local machine shop manufacture a set of 2" and a set of 3" spacers to replace my 1.5". I first had purchased another set of the spacers to double stack them but a friend put me in contact with a shop to have them made and therefore went that route.

The 2" obviously increase the height by .5" but if paired with the stock spacer would total 3.5" of total spacer. I ran the 3" and this allowed me to obtain a rear ride height of near stock Allroad height yet also still allowed me to fully bag out. This was nice for when inclement weather was an issue i had the height I needed and the wife preferred the taller ride height. Here they are installed, unfortunately we dont have images of it at full ride height but imagine a stock Allroad.

I still have the 2" risers and two sets of the Airlift 1.5" spacers that can be double stacked with your existing 1.5" spacer to get the 3" rear obtained. Obviously you will need new bolts which I picked up from a local hardware store. Plan on posting spacers in classifieds now that the car is sold.

It will be completely hidden. Won’t be able to see the tank, pumps, or management.

Finished installing the tank, manifold, pumps, controller, and ECU. All wired up. No leaks.

Now to install the struts, lines to the struts, height sensors and lines to the height sensors.

Almost there. Pumps run great, no leaks so far.

I'm looking for recommendations on how to "straighten" the vinyl hose to run and install all of the lines underneath the car. I will also want to put some bends in here and there to have it follow the underside well. Those I'm not as concerned about, thinking I will be able to manage those well with a heat gun and a tubing bender since it is a very small section that I will be able to apply concentrated heat to while bending it. (I'll be extra careful not to apply too much heat and damage the tubing)

From what I can see, most recommend putting the coiled up roll of tubing into a sink of hot water ... letting it sit for about 10 minutes, then pulling it out and trying to uncoil it.

How long are your compressors lasting? After trying to troubleshoot a fault pressure sensor I'm being told the compressor needs to be replaced. I've only had this viair 444c for about 2.5 years and have driven about 10k in that time

I think it's very dependent on how often they run. I stayed at drive height most of the time so they rarely kicked in and my lasted 5+ years. Aired out on occasion.

New manifold should arrive tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have a fully functional 3H kit by the end of the day. Now if only I could get an Airlift controller, because I'm finding that I have to re-pair to the manifold every time I open the 3H app. Anyone else experience that?
Are those custom brackets or did you pick them up somewhere?

EDIT - Accuair brackets that are no longer made.

How's the ride quality? Specifically wanted to know as I'm thinking about putting my 2015 RS5 on air. I hear horror stories about the super bounciness...

For me driving around town or on the highway it is fine. But i am also running the air lift performance struts, with accu air height adjustable controller ands sensors.

Where i find it bouncy is when pushing it in corners and hitting a bump. I think this is where i needed to spend some time getting the height and pressure dialed in just right by adjusting the height is the struts so that when they are at the desired ride height, it is also at the optimal pressure for handling.

I’d certainly like to hear from others as well if they have used that approach to optimize.

Thank you! Are there any other suspension items I should beef up before the install?
