Moro blue is an horrible color

Hello everyone.

I've done my home made USP front, but now I've come to the painting. I've got no idea how to paint this thing + grills. Seems like you can't give any contrast to the car because it's so similar to black. I've been looking on the internet and haven't found anything that satisfies me. I also thought about adding a front lip, but why? You won't even see the difference because black on moro blue is like black on black. Thoughts?

I'm kinda sad I've got such a boring color!

EDIT, what I thought is maybe paint the center grill grey as the front center grill?

Who says you have to do black? Why not some like charcoal, anthracite, or gunmetal grey?

Mostly because it wouldn't match the rest of the car? Here are some pics before the USP front conversion.

You missed the point, change all the black grills and trim pieces to grey; easily done these days with plastidip. Your other option is to change the color of the paint, or just deal with the black blending in with the moro blue.

The contrast doesn't need to 'pop'. It's not a Honda ;)

Work out a full concept instead of adding color ad hoc. A little photoshop experimenting will go a long way

I've been trying to look throughout the web to see what others have done but there isn't much to see. Most people have other colors!

Did not know that, thanks. I thought moro was a tad lighter while my 02 ming blue has a black/purple look to it.

Sun only will make you see the difference between these 2 colors! Oh and saw a moro blue with grey and it's awful.

you can contrast, but it would have to be a light color. its not going to happen with black, thats for sure

I say forget trying to contrast the body. paint match all the lowers and contrast it with wheel color

Flat black will have contrast and be noticeable, it was on my brilliant black car. You could also carbon fiber vinyl wrap te grills and lip,

I may be a little biased, but I like it. It shows differently in different light. Low light it looks dark blue, bright light it looks almost purplish, and at night can look black.

have I missed the reason you wont paint it to match the car? you already have painted lowers. just painting the USP flat black or any other color would look like crap imo, or painting all lowers to match the usp flat black or whatever color would be downgrading imo. seems like the only option is to color match it.

They're Depo ecode repros. He took them apart and painted the reflector.

I think I may do this with my 3.0. I have yellow fogs which I love but having yellow high beam reflectors would be cool. How is the visibility when using the Highbeams?

Meh, no harm. I bought these off the AZ classifieds a few years back. They look like Hartman's but I honestly don't know the manufacturer. Just bought a set of Enkei RPF1's last weekend.
