Finally making a thread over here on Audizine. The following is posted from another site so its just a copy and paste.

I'll try to give as much info as I can but most likely not all in one post since this car has a HUGE backstory.

As some of you know, I love the RS6 and have been keeping my eye out for one with blown turbos and a blown trans to do a nice 6 speed swap + turbo upgrade on. Well, I didnt have much luck and then a local friend here called me and showed me an RS6 online for sale that had a 6 speed swap. Upon reading the listing it was clear it wasnt any ordinary RS6 with a 6mt swap.

Turns out, the car was originally from Switzerland. It was a 2004. This means it has the european interior and other goodies US 2003 RS6s dont have. I called the guy at night and wired him a deposit the next day. During that time I was able to to some more research on the car and turns out this thing is a freaking unicorn.

When the car was in Switzerland, the owner was some sort of millionaire who sent the car to sportec and had them put their stage 3 kit on it back in 2004-2005? Link here http://sportec.ch/page4394.html. Bigger turbos, reworked heads, cams, etc. Sportec delivered the car back and they guy hated the automatic and decided to do a 6 speed swap. He went back to Sportec and they told him it was impossible, so naturally he sent it to MTM and through a TON of money at them to have it done.

Apparently once everything was done, somehow it got impounded and wouldnt pass Switzerland's strict emissions tests so he was told to export the car or the state would crush it. He ended up exporting it to a friend in the USA who was also a millionaire who for some strange reason had the entire car painted black (it was originally silver). You literally cannot tell unless you look in places like under the carpet, etc. They must have even done a motor pull because the engine bay is black. This is where the story gets good.

Turns out, the person who imported it was running ponzi scheme to the tune of $190 million. The feds impounded all his assets, including the RS6, and put it up for auction back in 2008-2009 i believe. Some guy bought it for $45,000 at auction and tried to flip it for $80k, but ended up coming way down on the price and selling it to the infamous 10secondmarc, who brought it back to New York, had a little fun with it, and sold it to the guy I bought it from in CT. I spoke with Marc and he claims his 11.5 second RS6 lost to this car by 2-3 cars in a race. When I picked up the car from CT, a b5 friend who owns a shop claims to have an 11.1 b5 and says he only beat it by about a car. So I guess those stories line up but we wont know until I get it to the track and learn how to handle all that power.

Anyways, the car has piggies and a milltek exhust. Sportec 20" wheels. Its definitely a b5 RS4 trans (has oil cooler lines and is stamped 01e. Has sportec intercoolers and carbon fiber shrouds. RNS-D radio, european interior. Timing belt was just done too. I opened the ECU and found it is in fact an MTM ecu with a chip on it. So it sounds like everything is legit as far as stories go.

The strangest part was the night after I sent the deposit, I turned the tv on and went to watch a shop I tape called "American Greed". I jokingly said to my wife "Wouldn't it be funny if this episode were about the ponzi scheme guy who owned the RS6 I'm buying?" And I kid you not, I pressed play and they said the guys name. I was flipping out. I told my wife it was a sign I needed to buy this car and she of course just rolled her eyes, haha. You can buy the epsiode on itunes here : https://itunes.apple.com/us/tv-seaso...78?i=651767791 or view snippets on youtube here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzOpMWSI5wg

The car was apparently on EPLs dyno a few months ago and put down 490hp and 580 ft lbs at the wheels. I flew out to CT last weekend and drove the car back. I plan on selling my 3 b5 avants and putting a little money into this. For now, I just want to drive it and have fun. Car is really in awesome shape. Only has 38,000 miles on it. Pulls like a freight train from 3rd gear on. 1st and 2nd are so short its not must time for turbos to spool

If you go over to RS6.com and search for RS600 you can find more info on the car. From what I've read from past topics on this car they all seem to be pretty butt-hurt and a lot of the guys claim this car is grey market and not imported legitimately. I dont care either way but the headlights and taillights have been changed, along with all the glass in the car to DOT approved glass. Not sure what the proved but it makes me feel better. It has had a legitimate MN title, as well as a legitimate CT title so I'm not too concerned.

Installed PPD back in July 2013, FATS are at 2.9 on pump. Car has a B5 RS4 01e which means shorter 3rd and 4th gears. So keep that in mind. Really only using fats for this car to see performance gains, not necessarily to compare to other cars.

Made it to the track finally in August 2013. Put some lightweight wheels on it from another car I had. Slapped on an MBC, and JHM tuned the car. This was basically our first properly running file on the car so virtually no timing in it. Not bad for first time out. Broke the USA record for fastest RS6 on the first pass and then bested that by 2mph later on in the night. One guy over in Europe trapped 127 on the bottle (CHEATER!!!!) lol. Looking forward to hitting the track again in a few weeks after a retune, and a few other minor mods.

First and last passes were both practically identical. 11.9 @ 120mph

Had one pass that was 12.1 @ 122mph. (In car video included)

Obviously taking it somewhat easy on the car. First time to the track and still need to learn how to launch with this heavy clutch

    Update from October 2013.

It's been a long 2 months since I went to the track. Here's what's been done since that visit :

    3" mandrel bent downpipes

Quite an upgrade from stock gutted down pipes. Literally the stock downpipes come out of the turbo and go straight down. I'm surprised they even worked seeing as the flow was so restrictive.

    3" turbo back with x-pipe.

No mufflers, no cats, no resonators. Just straight pipe. Sounds amazing. More exotic sounding than grungy v8. All you hear at idle is turbo and then raw v8 when you get on it. My favorite mod to date.

    Bosch ev1 injectors for e85

JHM tuned the car on e85 and it absolutely ripped! Up until 4,000rpms then we ran out of fuel. Torque steering like a mofo. So injectors and 3bar maf went in.

    Fuel pump. WHAT A NIGHTMARE.

The stock rs6 setup has one pump in line and one in tank. My mechanic insisted I do a surge tank......in the trunk......with an aeromotive 11114 fuel pump or something. Finally he gets it done. Fuel pump is loud and obnoxious. Drive car to h20i in Maryland and back. Surge tank begins to swell and leak fuel. Absolutely nightmare. Made it home. Waited another 2 weeks for my mechanic to install the pumps I wanted in the first place. Finally got it all done Saturday. 2 aem e85 pumps in the tank, one wired to in tank wiring, one wired to in line pump wiring.

Car is neutered for now. Very excited. Maybe dyno this week and then track Friday. NoWo car show Saturday.

    Kwv3 coilovers

Replace stock drc with kw v3 suspension. Love it so far. Still trying to figure out best settings for them for the 1/4 mile. Want car to squat and leave hard. Not wheel hop all over the place like last time at track. Anyone know best settings for 1/4 mile on kws?

Goal is 10.99 in the 1/4 but car is heavy, crossing fingers. Also hoping for a good dyno number but more concerned about having car run right. I'll keep you guys updated

Next step is all minor stuff. Motor and trans mounts. Rear diff mount, sway bars, bushings etc

Well, after a few months my car is back to running normal again.

We ran into some very strange issues just before my last track visit as mentioned in other threads here. Car was seemingly misfiring after 5200rpms. Problem just got worse and worse. I had a few people telling me we hurt the motor.

Did a leakdown, inconsistent results. Did a compression test, everything looked fine. Ended up replacing a few things and car runs butter smooth now.

Probably the biggest culprit was the check valve from the intake manifold to the pcv system. It was bad. Replaced it with a billet 034 check valve.

Also deleted broken suction jet pump from intake to brake booster.

Upgraded coil packs to 2.0t conversion.

Installed radium auto dual catch cans.

Still seeing a consistent 2.2 fats at 18lbs of boost with a passenger which is still great.

Planning on driving the car for a week or so and then we will flash tune back on it that was on before we started having issues

Haha not sure but I've heard 700whp is the limit. So maybe 750-800wtq?

That's totally a guess. I wont be anywhere near those levels on these stock wastegates and hybrid rs6s though.

That's amazing story, thanks for sharing.I wonder if you can squeeze more out of your setup with bigger MAFs. But the car is stupid fast I don't see the need.

If you have more details/pic on your fueling, I want to hear about it. So as of now you have no surge tank, just 2 aem fuel pumps both in tank? How are they mounted inside the tank? What did you do with your inline fuel pump?

I'll see what I can dig up. Yes both pumps in tank with no in line pump anymore. One of the pumps in the tank is wired up as an in tank pump. The other is wired up as if it were the in line pump. They T off into the main line before they exit the basket.

Wellllllllllllll it's a goal. Who knows if I'll ever get there. For now I just want to get the world record for an rs6 which would have to be an 11.4@128. Tall order for stock wastegates but we will see soon I hope
