I am completely stock i just saw this.

HOT - NGK #6 (OEM Range for 1.8/2.7 Engines) - Stock car with stock boost/timing, or mildly-tuned car in cold climates.

Recommended Plugs in this Heat Range:
    - NGK BKR6E (Copper)
    - NGK BKR6EIX (Iridium Version of the same plug above)
    - Denso K20R (Copper)
    - Denso IK20 (Iridium Version of the same plug above)
    - NGK PFR6Q (OEM Platinum) - If you're planning to stick with stock boost

COLD - NGK #7 (One Step Colder) - Cars with basic "chip/intake/exhaust" bolt-on upgrades (K03, K04, etc): Drop one range.

Recommended Plugs in this Heat Range:
    NGK BKR7E (Copper)
NGK BKR7EIX (Iridium Version of the same plug above)
    Denso K22R (Copper)
Denso IK22 (Iridium Version of the same plug above)

COLDER - NGK #8 (Two Steps Colder) - Cars with bigger turbos will benefit from these, whereas a regularly chipped car may foul these.

Recommended Plugs in this Heat Range:
    Champion C63YC (Copper)
    NGK R5672A-8 (Copper, Non-Resistor plug)
    NGK BKR8EIX (Iridium)
    Denso IK24 (Iridium)
    Bosch FR5DTC (Copper)
    Bosch F5DPOR (Platinum/Side Fire)*

You have a 2.0T which is a higher compression engine than the 1.8T or 2.7T. Higher compression engines call for colder plugs so the information you posted is irrelevant. If you are stock you are going to want a Bosch 6 or an NGK 7.

I remember this from awhile ago! You pointed me in the right direction Jake when I was looking at coppers. Had NGK 6 range coppers after coming from a 1.8T; threw on some NGK 7 coppers and what a difference. The part # for anyone wondering (NGK BKR7E) is #4644. Picked up my second set yesterday after ~15k miles, couldn't be happier with them!

Yup! Tuned cars will actually want a step colder. NGK 7 is the stock heat range. If a tune is not too aggressive though it may not matter.

What would you consider too aggressive for the stock plug, as you put me in the good direction too since i taught NGK 7 were colder like on my 1.8t.
If i have Unitronic 1+, K&N filter, HFC and OBX exhaust, would a NGK 8 give me a big difference?

I would go with a Bosch 5 for you. The heat ranges don't exactly line up perfectly between the two companies which is why spark plugs are are complete pain.

X2 same situacion as you i just threw on the NGK's 7 and yes indeed what a difference in idle, performance, quicker acceleration, less turbo lag,and better start. is incredible what this little things can do.
