    Hi sorry for the noob question but I recently purchased a B8 S4 ( LOVE IT!! ) and today I drove home from work in dynamic mode and realized that we have pretty fast cars stock, my question is I want to go stage 1/2 at some point soon but I was just wondering what does a stage 2 b8 s4 feel like it terms of acceleration? Like is there any cars you would compare it to in terms of speed and acceleration?

    A STOCK GTR is definitely faster but not that much faster. Similar weight for both cars and the GTR has about 40hp on a stage II S4.

    Sub 4 is pretty stout. According to the internet my stock S4 does 4.4. I don't buy that. I think it's probably closer to 4.9 or so. Getter under 4 is a BIG improvement. I'd like to see someone with real numbers. Additionally, who's STGII tune are we talking about?

    search.. people have definitely shown sub 4 second 0-60 via vbox/p3 gauges.

    What do you mean whos? Whos tune or whos car? There are a number of documented sub 4 0-60 stage 2 cars both APR and GIAC. I wasn't aware the new GTR's were sub 3, that's just wicked.

    Yeah, I meant APR, GIAC, Stassis etc. I'll look around but I'll take the word of you guys here as proof. I've just not seen many guys discuss sub 4 0-60 times. If I tune my car, it'll be APR. If I'm going to TD1 the car, I'm going to go straight to STG2, intake and exhaust. Just haven't made up my mind yet.

    Best I did was 4.3 with ECS off. Runs high 4s with ECS on. No tune here.

    Some of the comparisons I have seen on this forum are ridiculous. A stage 2 B8 is quick for sure, but GTR quick? No. Unless you are comparing it to a early model GTR, and even then they are still quicker.

    lol, hows it not even close? your talking fractions of a second. I'd say any car capable of sub 4's to sixty and mid to high 11's in the 1/4 is pretty capable of hanging with most any car in stock form. I'm not saying its the fastest car around but your going to go so far as saying its not even close? ha

    A stage 2 S4 has neck snapping acceleration, i'd say mine feels like 4.0-4.2 to 60 but its not in the same league as a GTR. Go for a ride in a GTR.

    Your comparing race gas s4 times to pump gas gtr. Pump gas to pump gas it's well over a second difference in the 1/4 mile which is significant or "not even close"

    Put that same race gas in the gtr and you have a 10 second car

    I don't know why everyone has an obseesion with comparing the S4 to a GT-R.

    That being said, a stock '09 GT-R isn't too much faster than a 2+ S4. It's not a ridiculous comparison like some are making it out to be.

    my stage 2 with all my other toys makes the S4 a dirty launcher of death!! haha in the best way possible when my car drops at 4,000! its at 100 faster than I can sing a song lyric! I have tons of vids etc... but I need to find a way to post them safely. lol also the sways and xbrace make a huge launch difference !

    Nope.

    The posted P3 gauge picture of 3.45 0-60mph in this thread was on my 2013 DSG GIAC Stage II with TCU tune S4 on PUMP gas. I've done this numerous times.....

    Not GTR fast..... but damn respectable on the streets for sure.

    I had a 2010 stock GTR few years ago, have a Stage 2+ S4 now.

    No doubt a stock GTR is quicker. From a dig / roll / etc

    I can only imagine the newer ones are much quicker.

    The 09-11 GTR's in stock form really seem to slow down after 100 however. 0-100 they are almost unbeatable.

    Stock I was honestly a little disappointed with the straight line acceleration.

    GIAC Stage 2
    Pump, is nice definitely how the car should have came stock.

    That being said, a stock '09 GT-R isn't too much faster than a 2+ S4. It's not a ridiculous comparison like some are making it out to be.
    You must be mighty delirious my friend. a bone stock 09 GT-R will do 0-60 in 2.8-9 and a 1/4 in 11.8 THATS WAY far off in terms of time in the car world. People spend thousands of dollars to make cars a second faster. A Stage 2 S4 is first not making anywhere near the 485HP (Claimed, more like 500HP+) and its DEF not doing 11.8. Pretty ludacris claims by some of you here. if that was even remotely true everyone could have an sub 11 second s4 for under $55K......not happening, and lets not even get started on the '14, those things are doing 10 Second runs out of the box

    To be fair, 11.8 is easily achievable on race gas with just a tune, pulley and intake. Of course, the newer GTRs are much faster still.
