c6 tail lights replacement: EURO to USA.

    Hello dear colligues,

I have euro-edition a6 c6 sedan and yesterday I have broken my highline tail light. Before this accident, the light was just easily cracked (factory waster). So, I tried to glue some protection (stripe), but it got worse. Here is pic: https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/64...0/836/pvlj.jpg . So, I found one USA tail light, but this raised me a question. Question will be: does USA led taillight replacement will be without any problems to euro car? I mean electricity problems with turn signals. USA c6's tail lights blings differently compared to euro. Is there any place for orange bulb light? Or it is the same light like euro?

    Thank you.

I have a 2010 A6 and if your tail light housing is anything like mine you only need the lens cover

Thank you for the advice. I found out that there are two types of USA taillights. First type is, that stop and corner light is same and the second one is, that corner signal is under white glass.
It is possible to remake to euro tail light, but is it worth? Maybe replacing the glass, but there is no guarantee for tightness.

Thank you, but I found euro edition new ones with no waster. Probabaly cracked c6's light is one of this model bugs.

The taillights are the same between the US and Euro cars. The only difference is coding the lights through VAGCOM. I recoded my taillights to ROW (Rest of the World) so that I can use an orange bulb as a turn signal and keep the brake lights constant when braking and turning.

Yes, I agree about coding, but this is the second type tail lights. First one has turn signal which is below trasnparent glass. So, there is nothing to do with coding. Cracked 4f's lights is often waster.

I beg to differ. I recoded my taillights so that the bulb behind the clear lens (was red now Amber) is used as a turn signal and not a hazard flasher (only when rear fogs are on). Here is a pic/diagram of the light...

And a video of it after the recoding and changing one of the bulbs to Amber...

    Hello,

Ok, have another problem. My right tail light four brake led's burned out. Is it possible to replace several leds or I need to replace all?
