Are RS7's limited to 200 total production in USA?

I spoke to my salesperson today regarding the delivery of my RS7 this week. While I had her on the phone, I asked if she had heard anything about Audi discontinuing the 2015 model. She said that they had tried to order another RS7 and asked about a 2015 model. They were told to wait until the buyers guide comes out, but that RS7 production was being capped at 200 in the USA. My salesperson was sick and at home, so I didn't have time to get further details. She did mention something about a Sportsback replacing the RS7. Does any of this make any sense to you guys? Was she just hopped up on cough syrup ya think?...

The 7 series only comes in a sport back. That is what they call that in Europe. In Europe the 5 series comes in both a 2 door like here and a sport back like a mini RS7.

Yeah. I know the 7 is a sportback here. Has there been talk of another sportback coming to the usa that might replace the current 7 series? trying to decipher what she was mumbling as she was ditching me from our phone call. She is supposed to be back at work tomorrow and I will ask again. Thx.

Spoke to her today. That is exactly right Stubek. The 5 series with a sportback is coming and it is potentially going to be offered in RS styling. I'm not sure what they will call it. My wife is certainly interested since she is driving a 2013 RS5!!!

Interesting, I had not heard the A5 sportback was coming. Now I have to think, trade the B8 Avant for an RS5 Sportback or hold out hoping for an RS4 or 6 Avant in the next couple years.

I wonder if they are going to cap the 2015 down to 200 total in the US? I asked my dealer yesterday and he thinks the guide will be out shortly after the NY Auto Show. It's been an eternity waiting for the RS7 MY15 order guides. I'll have to ask him to look into how many RS7's they might make for MY15.

Hopefully in the next couple of weeks one of those 1500 RS7 's will be mine. Going to place my order finally after I check out one they have coming in next month
