    Cleaning your top

    I just purchased an 08 Ibis white TT. I've never owned a convertible before and I don't have a garage. I've done a little bit of research on how to take care of it. I've looked in local places for some cleaning products and only found two which I'm not too sure on using. What's everyone do to keep their top clean and looking like new?

    Congrats on your purchase man. A few things to keep in mind; make sure to always hand wash, never go through an automatic car wash, just use water on the top with no chemicals at all. For bird poop, just clean with water and a microfiber towel. Also be sure not to put the top down after washing it for a good 24hrs so that it's 100% dry. Enjoy the top down driving!

    Best product for fabric convertible tops is Raggtopp Convertible Cleaner and Protector. Available on Amazon.

    I love the products from the Chemical Guys in Ca. They have a bunch of youtube videos demonstrating the use of their products. The service the professional detailer market, but sell direct to consumers as well. My S4 is the navy blue finish and their black light detailers kit gave it a depth of shine greater than any I had acheived using other waxes/polishes. The have a great cleaner and protector for the soft top. All of their products were easy to apply.

    Our TT roadster is our first convertible as well and am looking at products to clean and protect the cloth top. It looks like it is pretty much a 2 horse race between raggtopp and 303. Do you guys have any preference between these? I live in Vancouver with rainy winters so as much water beading as I can maintain, the better.
